My name is Stephanie…
I found my way to this group since I am trying to network as well as get more support in my new healthy lifestyle (eating right, working out etc…)
Any way… I am 31, I am a mother of a 5y old girl and a new 3m old boy. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we all enjoy going to auto shows/races…
My husband and I built my classic and now custom show car to fit my likes, so it would be the only one of its kind out there. And in that process and going to shows, I met the founder of the "World Motor Sports Breast Cancer Foundation" (WMSBCF) www.WorldMotorSportsBCF.org
Any way. So now I volunteer for the foundation and help out with there web site, show my car to help bring more awareness to the foundation as well as try and get donations.
I have not personally been touched by breast cancer in any way as of yet besides the WMSBCF, but have been touched by many good friends and family who had other cancers. Most of witch did not survive the fight with cancer. So I do it to keep there memories strong and to try and help out others as much as I can. It is the least I can do since I don't have all the money in the world to donate, so I donate my time, my car by showing it, my talents, etc…
Any way… I am also excited about getting a small feature in a E-Mag (car mag) to help get the info out about the foundation even more. (JAN 2010 - Think Pink) Also the E-Mag is donating a percentage of the down load cost to the foundation made when people decide to download the issue and save it for there own use and keep for ever. It is free to read it on line, but the charge for the download. ($2)
Check it out at www.EliteStreetz.com
It is a Candy Pink 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo. It has took my husband and I just over 10y to build this car on a LIMITED budget and doing 90% of the work ourselves.
Let me know what you all think and if you have any questions.
Hope to talk to you all soon!
