I suspect anxiety is the norm - my mum never reached the stage where she didn't get anxious, even after 25 years, but then she was one of nature's worriers (a trait I have unfortunately inherited). Others may eventually reach a place of peace about their checks, I don't know...............

Does everyone feel some anxiety before their check-up?

I suppose everyone is different, but I had my first post-op mammogram/check-up at 3 months, then every 3 mos. for a year, when I went to every 6 mos. for 3 yrs.

I'm at the three month post operation phase and not yet to a semiannual mammogram. At what point does that begin?

We just got back from our routine semi-annual testing. At this point, I'm still "cancer-free"...no indication that my cancer has found a new home in my body. I'm rather pleased and grateful that my doc appointments continue to be "boring" and have no indication that this will change. He has a plan for me that runs for the next 3 years and then 5 years after that. I intend that the next 8 years will continue to be "boring".

Let's all hope and pray that "boring" is my new normal. !!!

Life is good!
