I suspect anxiety is the norm - my mum never reached the stage where she didn't get anxious, even after 25 years, but then she was one of nature's worriers (a trait I have unfortunately inherited). Others may eventually reach a place of peace about their checks, I don't know...............
I vote for boring too!!!! my annual mammo and ultra sounds on Mon. wasn't boring... but all turned out well... fine needle aspiration they did was NOT cancer.. just a lymph node.. but it was a very stressful 2 hours..... I am a 13 yr. survivor!! and I plan on adding another year every year!!!

We just got back from our routine semi-annual testing. At this point, I'm still "cancer-free"...no indication that my cancer has found a new home in my body. I'm rather pleased and grateful that my doc appointments continue to be "boring" and have no indication that this will change. He has a plan for me that runs for the next 3 years and then 5 years after that. I intend that the next 8 years will continue to be "boring".
Let's all hope and pray that "boring" is my new normal. !!!
