I had a bit of a stressful day yesterday, forgot today was the end of the challenge and I was going to weight and measure myself, and ate too much. So, I was worried when I stepped on the scale and took my measurements.
Goal 2: Lose ANY inches Starting Measurements -- Ending Measurements Bust = 36.5 -- 36.5 Waist = 34 -- 32 Stomach = 37.5 -- 37.25 Hips = 39 -- 38 Bottom = 39 -- 39 Right Arm = 12.5 -- 11.5 Left Arm = 12.875 -- 11.5 Right Thigh = 24.25 -- 23.875 Left Thigh = 24.25 -- 23.75
Goal 3: Exercise for 15 days of the challenge My plan is to get to the gym to ride the bike and hopefully do some weights.
Amount Exercised = NONE
For the most part, I'm pleased! Here are some things I've learned or discovered during this challenge --
- Weight Watchers seems to be working for me. Somehow the points are easier to track than calories. But more than that, I feel like I'm really learning what I can and can't eat, getting a better sense of what are "power foods", how much I can eat of something, things like that. But, I still have awhile to go before it becomes second nature and I won't have to actually track points.
- Each day I need to make good choices but if I don't do so well one day, it's not the end of the world.
- I need to exercise. Watching what I eat isn't going to be enough for me to reach my ultimate goals. I think my inches would be less in all areas if I do exercise. Also, I don't FEEL that much lighter and know I will if I exercise.
I'm hoping by Easter to be living in 120-ville and I feel like I'm on my way.
Well, looks like I'm the only one doing the challenge!
My progress so far in this challenge -
Goal 1: Lose 3 lbs. I weighed myself on 1/31 and I was 135 lbs. Weighed myself on 2/3 and I was 136 lbs. (I usually only weight myself on Mondays but have been also doing it every week of this challenge.) I'm very excited! I've been eating healthier and watching how much I'm eating when the food isn't as healthy.
Goal 2: Lose ANY inches. I'll wait to measure myself at the end, but I feel a little lighter all over.
Goal 3: Exercise. BOO. Haven't exercised once. I've been active a couple of times (ie playing in the snow) but not intentional exercise. I know if I were exercising I'd lose even more weight.
Overall, I'm quite happy. I hope you all are doing well with whatever goals you've set for yourself.
Let's gift ourselves (and maybe a loved one?) by feeling good about ourselves on Valentine's Day!
