Katzastar- From personal experience, let me tell you-- the prayers of a righteous wife availeth much! Keep praying for your husband, even when it looks like he will never come around. Remember that we serve a God who does the impossible everyday! Nothing is too difficult for Him. Remember that great verse in 2 Peter about "cultivating a gentle and quiet spirit, so that your husbands may be won without a word from their wives." That is a verse I clung to for years in my marriage-- reminding myself that God doesn't NEED me to nag or preach to my husband. It's was my job to love him, not to change him.

God is so good to His children and those who are not Christians are blessed because they are a part of us. Even though they are not truly blessed until they know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! I am glad everything worked out and I will keep you all in my prayers. Have a blessed and happy New Year In Jesus Name Greg
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Thank you! My husband was surprised things turned out so well! (I was not!) He worked as a land surveyor and age is taking its toll on him. He says surveying is a younger man's job (my husband is 57). He has bad knees and it was getting more difficult for him to keep in front of the younger men. Note my husband is not satisfied with merely keeping up.
At any rate, we are getting the money we did not get for November, and he has four extensions, which should carrying him through another year and a half or so, at which point he plans on retiring.
Of course none of this would have been a problem in the first place if my husband were a Christian, as I mentioned in my blog. We have savings in the bank, are buying our current residence at a reasonable price, and he owns 20 acres of land free and clear! I asked him - how much money in the bank would it take for him to feel secure? He is thinking about it. I always feel secure because I now where my assurance is! Praise God. So, if you ever think of me and my family, please pray my husband becomes a Christian. Thank you so much for your prayers.
My husband has not worked for a year. He has not received an unemployment check in over a month. He has an appointment to talk with the unemployment department on Dec 30, Wednesday. My husband says he might not have "crossed his t's and dotted his i's" and the worst case scenario would be we have to pay back what unemployment he received (!!!) I am asking all my friends to please pray about this.
