that reminds me of "back in the day" with Blooregard.. at the roller rink... and they would change the direction for a song....... and I couldnt quite figure out how to go the other way.... then when the song was over you were supposed to start going the other way... uh, hello... couldnt STOP... let alone figure out how to turn around to go the other direction!!!

Here is a copy of my "treadmill burn" episode from my blog. Thought it was perfect for this thread! And yes, I still have the mark!!

Last night I got home from work and I jumped right on the treadmill. I was running at a good clip (6.0)when I had to quickly stop (my ds needed something) so I jumped onto the sides (and no...I did not stop the treadmill because he needed me NOW) and my right foot wasn't on the side...it was on the treadmill! So, imagine if you can...my right foot goes all the way to the end of the treadmill and my left food is firmly on the left side...well, this has never happened to me before and I was alittle slow in my reaction. So slow that my right foot was on the carpet in back of the treadmill, my left foot on the left side and my lower shin was on the treadmill belt. Is there a such thing as treadmill burn...sort of like road burn?? Well, I got this nice welt on my leg...and my son was looking at me wondering what the heck I was doing...yup, I planned that! Thank goodness I am flexible.....I wish my husband had been filming me running then I could of posted it for everyone's entertainment!! Too funny.
Another lesson learned! Ha ha!
Well, I am finally (wow!) on week 6! Last night I did W6D2 and I felt pretty good.
I was trying to beat crochetlocket's time of 3.33 in 40 minutes but once I got to 41 minutes I got to her 3.33. I just missed it by one minute! Darn!
Final time was 48 minutes and I did 3.75 miles treadmill burn and all!! Woo Hoo!!

I was walking the track at my rec center, on a day I usually don't go. I was annoyed since people kept passing me going the wrong direction! After a while I realized I was the one going the WRONG direction!
(You see...the track changes direction each day...ahem)

This didn't actually happen (yet) but I imagine it happening every time...I just started a month ago doing Reformer Pilates, where you do pilates on this machine that looks like a rowing-machine with arm straps and leg straps for more resistance. For the leg straps, you have to lie on your back and one at a time put your feet in these loops and basically support your whole body with just your legs; so if you let your legs relax, they will flip behind you and cause you to fall off the machine in backwards somersault style. Like I said, hasn't happened yet but it always makes me laugh when I think of the visual it could create =)

Ok, I will start....
I remember exercising at an aerobic class (My friend and I were all of 19) and we were jumping going to the right when everyone else in the class was going to the left. Picture...my awesome purple legwarmers! Now all the while laughing harder than I have ever laughed!

My kids love storytime and so do I! So, I thought I would start a thread to tickle our funny bones!
Post a story about a funny experience you had while exercising...
