Cool whip with peanut butter sounds so delicious!! I have to try it.

I've been adding some dried bluberries or cranberries to almonds or dry cheerios for a snack at work. When I want a candy bar, I'll eat a zone perfect bar instead. Keeps me full longer since it has alot of protein. Plus they taste like candy. bars!!

That sounds really yummy! I've mixed canned pumpkin with cool whip and its pretty good too. I've also mixed plain, unsweetened cocoa with cool whip--if it is folded in just right, it's like a chocolate mousse.(I don't know how to spell that). I've never tried Peanut butter, but I will now!

starbucks skinny is thier menu, with no fat, no whip, sugar free syrup, so I ask for a skinny caramel mocha latte, it's good, they have a big skinny menu now.
Tim's double double xl coffee has 140 calories per pump of coffee cream, so a double would be 2 of those... up to 280 for a 16 oz coffee, this doesn't include cals for the coffee and cals for the sugar (2 pumps as well)
skinny venti caramel mocha latte is 180 cals... so I am now a starbucks junkie.

I use Walden Farms products--they taste pretty good--and many have no calories,no carbs, no fats--just flavor. I like the salad dressings. I've been using the honey mustard one instead of mayonaise when I made tuna salad. I recently found some strawberry Jelly by Walden Farms with no calories or carbs at all. I haven't tried it yet but I plan to once I decide what to eat it on.
Cat, I know what Tim Horton's is--though I've never had it--I do enjoy Starbucks. I usually drink it with just a sugar free flavored syrup. What is starbuck skinny?
I've been switching over to olive oil too.

I gave up real sugar, in favor of aspartame and gave up putting margarine on my sandwiches, so I either use plain jam or mayo, depending on what I'm eating. I have given up Tim Horton's in favor of starbucks skinny.
I have given up endless cans of pops, for one a day.
I have given up 4 - 5 full glasses of milk in favor of one 1 cup of milk 1%. I now get my calcium in fat free yogurt and low fat cottage cheese.

What kind of substitutions or changes have you made in your diet to accomodate your new lifestyle? Maybe we can come up with some things here that will encourage us to try some new foods or make little dietary changes that add up to huge health benefits

For snacks, I know I can't live without my chocolate so I found a very rich, not sweet chocolate. Lindt 85% cacao which i buy at Walmart. We originally sent for some from France because we didn't know it was available for much less locally. A little bit goes a long way--the calories are not low, but it is the type of chocolate that is "heart healthy" so when I need chocolate, and sometimes I do, I have some and it satisfies. It's not too sweet so it doesn't set off my overeat trigger like sweet foods do. It even has some fiber in it too!
