You are doing great! The key to the whole process is consistency, keep it up.

I started doing some weight training, so I'm not going to even think about my weight for a couple of weeks. I know that right now the muscle is going up and the fat is going down, the scale is stuck... and it's OK!

As of today I am 174, hoping to lose a few more pounds by next week, after my college kids return to school.

YEAH! I thought I'd be here all by myself!!

I got back down to 200 lbs with the addition of some exercise. AND... my Zumba instructor let us know that the class is equal to a 6 mile run... so I'm adding that to our other challenge!!

Just found this challenge. I love the idea.

I am 175 Lbs. and hope to maintain or lose a couple pounds over the next week. Our family is doing a biggest loser contest as we are going on a family vacation in March. I will try to enjoy what I eat, slow down and only have 1 or 1/2 piece of goodies. It will be hard not to taste everything but I am going to try to eat less and do so in moderation.

Well, Thanksgiving was tough. I traveled to a friend's house and went to the Pat's/Lions game in Detroit. There was beer, food, too much time in airports.

Current weight 202.0 lbs.

Just joined a gym. Gotta do something to get over the funk that I am in!!

Okay Sox Fans, I am having to give myself a reality slap here. Made a HUGE goal a few months ago and have been sliding. I figured I'll share my challenge with you and see how many people we can motivate.

I did a quick search and found that the average American gains 8-10 lbs between Thanksgiving and New Years. I know, it's hard to lose weight with everything going on. I know, it's hard to work out between shopping, parties, family gatherings and all the rest of the madness... (Note to self... It's all madness!!!)

Now, I'm not saying that we should all stick to eating carrots when there's YUMMY food around. I'm just thinking that we've all worked WAY too hard to lose weight and get healthy to throw away that time and energy.

Here's the challenge:
I Challenge you (and me!) to get to January 1, 2011 and NOT gain weight.

How are we going to do this??
1. Take a small plate if possible
2. NO SECONDS
3. Make better choices at parties.
4. Enjoy small bites of the good stuff
5. Split the piece of pie with a friend
6. MAKE time to work out/ walk/ go dancing... MOVE!!

Post at least once weekly to this Challenge:

Please reply to this message with either your beginning weight or start at 0 and give +/-

Give an update to how you are doing, share a secret with the rest of us as to how you will eat, move better during the holidays.

BE HEALTHY, and still enjoy life!!

"Fall down seven times, get up eight."
Spark on!!
