Joined a kick butt gym and the classes run 6 week increments. I made it to my 6th week without giving up! Cried a few times, but kept going!! Signed up for another 6 weeks starting next Monday. Woohooo!!

Had been walking 2 miles each walk and have steadily worked up to 4 miles today. Mind over body as I was working out some physical issues. emoticon To top it off I had the energy to make a nice, healthy dinner and enjoy time with DH emoticon

emoticon Lost the lb I regained and couldn't get rid of for a couple of weeks. I don't want to ever see it again!

emoticon from yesterday: syncing my fitness and nutrition trackers and discovering that my calories were too low for my activity level. How's that for mind-blowing? Have I ever in my life been told I needed MORE calories??

Yep - was feeling a bit yuk, and was pleased with myself for having a healthy snack instead of stuffing my face.

Peanut butter on rice cake. Oops - 110 cals for 1 level tablespoon?...

Well done me though for measuring it so I knew it was a tablespoon

and for changing what I'll have for my evening meal so I can get in calorie range for the day after all! :-)

Have had a super successful Sunday! I've eaten nicely within cal range, said no a couple of times when I could have gotten off track, have cooked ahead for the week, shopped, and done some more cleaning out. Exercise? The day isn't over yet!

I promised myself that I would find time for the gym this weekend even though my schedule was busy with a lot of dogs to walk-been missing my strength workout and the use of some of the gym machines to work different muscles-And Yay! for me! I did it-put in over an hour Sat. and Sun. getting a well-rounded workout! emoticon

WOOHOO! Was pleasantly surprised by the scale this AM, 2 more lbs down since restart two weeks ago! Now that's motivating! No wonder my jeans zip! Progress toward first mini goal: iVe returned the size 18 jeans and am wearing my own snug 16s. Next goal: make them too loose to wear and move into the next size down.

This has been mostly an off again week. However, yesterday was actually pretty good. We had "bread and milk and blackberries" for breakfast as in Peter Rabbit. For lunch we shared a mini wheat pita with guacamole and raw sunflower seeds, our nod to good eating before a single scoop dipped cone ice cream outing. Dinner was excellent. I made strawberry gazpacho and a delicious Indian chickpea salad. I was glad it turned out so well; I was adjusting from a recipe for 60!

Today has been much better, within cal range, some light fitness minutes at home, and I'm going to do a video,workout with a friend in a little while.

I did my first 6k on the cross country series. The course was full of hard hills and I feared not getting through it but with the help of my husband I started and finished.

Day 4 restart: I'm awake much too early, decided to step on the scale, and saw a 2 lb loss!

PM: 20 fitness min & 915 cal. All my food was good, and I almost never go that far below 1200, the bottom end of my range. Today was planned since I expect to eat more at a Shrimp and Lobster Festival.

I'm doing a cross country running series with a local running club, which progressively gets longer every two weeks on the weeks my husband works. I did not realize the hills involved at first but after the first two I decided to give up (the course is very difficult for me) My husband did two practice runs with me to help, and for a WooHoo a co-worker needed a certain day off so he's filling in for my husband to actually run with me.

The possibilities always outnumber the problems.

Woo hoo! Was standing in the kitchen, making dinner, the other night and my favorite skirt fell down around my ankles! It's been getting too big for a while now, but this is the first time it's fallen off. I guess all of this hard work is paying off! emoticon played over 1.5hrs tennis yesterday!

Got a herniated disk in my neck beginning of summer, layed out all summer on the couch, Phys theripist said: goal for Sept was to just start moving again, last wk picked up a racquet again, lil bits at a time, yesterday was my longest day yet, today I am in a league match! wish me luck. PT afterwards! I can do it! Picked a strong player to play w/me, so I can mostly just support her. Life is good, I am back on the courts!

This may be a very small who-hoooo comparison to some, but I truly feel that you can never keep positive and celebrate enough!

My Who-hooo is for me to getting beyond 3 days of tracking my food consistently and visiting SP daily on message boards and just overall feeling like I can keep consistent with my goals!!

hi all, thought i would let ya know what i did the other night.
i was looking through all the exercises that this great site has and realized . ILL NEVER REMEMBER HOW TO DO THEM WHILE AT THE GYM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... so i made one up for myself.
I went through all the exercises that looked like i could do with my knee issue.. and copied, and pasted them into a word document. then added a couple lil pics for encouragement... front page says it best. ONE POUND AT A TIME.. i added a place to write the date and reps and how many sets i did, and if it a exercise that requires a weight or a medicine ball i added that too. it also allows me to record once i get home...

Took my gscout troop to camp in the mtns, we decided we wanted to stay in the rustic cabins, they put us in one called "Hilltop" yes it was at the top of the hill, way up! We hiked this wkend until our legs ached. We all really had to face our fears, of animals, exercise, scary places, etc. woohoo we did it!

Met with a trainer to get a program set up for me. I now know what I am doing with the weights :)

So excited!! Got a new job, actually 2 departments were fighting over me! No more waiting tables for me! No more constant temptation to eat terrible for me foods! emoticon
