it also depends on the weight of your clothes i mean i can weigh in tshirt and jeans and then i put on workout pants and i weight a lb less cause the pants are lighter
pay attention to measurements too but maintaining is good too which is what my measurements have been doing

I am just the same, Creative. I have lost lbs on the scale but am not seeing too much change in my body yet. I am just trying to focus on keeping my streaks going and getting in the exercise I need and not going totally out of control with the eating. My big thing is always making myself realize that I do have time to be healthy.
Congratulations to everyone on their progress! I have been MIA on SP since June but I'm glad to be back and my first week has gone really well. Great to see all my GH team ladies again on the boards!

I have lost a few pounds but my clothes are fitting the same. Kinda bugs me, since I want them to fit better. But as long as Im losing weight I know I should feel accomplished. Every 'body' is going to get healthier in its own way.
Reply, no, but thats a good idea, I heard one lady hung up a 2 piece bakini right where she could see it! My Husband might think I am crazy, But I think I am just going to hang that bakini in my kitchen!LOL GReat Idea:D THAnks!

have you thought of putting a "motivating item" somewhere where you can see it, like a picture of you how you want to be?
Congrats on losing! I was bad last night, I have been all week, just cant seen to get in the right direction! I need to stop munching! ERRR

I honestly believe that it is a personal perference.
Whoopie lost 7 pound and approximately 7-9 inches (i cannot remember in 4 weeks and she was doing 20 minutes of strength training 3 times a week for the first two weeks and then the next two weeks, she did 25 minutes of strength training 3 times a week. The next two weeks, she goes 30 mins, 3 times a wk, and then 40 minutes 3 times a wk for the next two weeks and then that is how she will maintain.
i enjoyed doing it, but it is strict. When i had Parker 7 years ago and then went back to work, i needed something to help me. So my husband bought me a bowflex and i thought that I would do the diet. and it really worked, but I LONGED for my treadmill and to be totally honest with you, it was my treadmill that made me gain weight cause in reality, the more that you do cardio, the hungrier you are cause you are burning calories.
with strength training, yes you are burning calories, but you are working your muscles more. and building muscles...which works in a different way.
I think that i would just feel WAY too guilty not doing my tae bo and hip hop abs.

it is weird cause i LOVE my cardio and i do cardio EVERYDAY, but there is a new book and diet out there (it is really NOT new at all), but it called the "the cardio free diet" and it comes with menus and instruction on what to do...
well Whoopie from the view is on it and i was on about 6 years ago after having my first and it works. What you do is strength train instead of cardio and you lose inches and weight...
my problem is...I LOVE cardio, but this book tells you that the more you do cardio the hungrier you are...does anyone else find that?
I have the same problem, I have gained a few pound lately, Im so mad, I have been doing 5 mile walks for over 2 weeks now, almost every day! ERRRRR and havent lost a pound just gained!

I got a Tanita scale that measures your weight and your % of body fat. It's great. Muscle also burns more calories, so the more muscle you have the faster you will burn that fat, and see the scale go down.
It's all about lookinggreat, though - so concentrate on that!

I hear ya all, I remember about 10 years ago, weighing less then I do now, and a bigger size... So I guess its is the fact that muscle is heavier then fat... hugs sheri

This I believe, becaue I my scale wasn't moving, and I was so irritated. But when i took my measurements again, I was able to mark my tape (printed off SP) in a lower spot.

3BOYZ2FEED-we had this discussion in one of my mtgs. and my eader says a pound is a pound. So muscle doesn't weigh more then fat-muscle is just smaller in size...

muscle weighs more than fat, so try to measure yourself...maybe that will help!

Does anybody else weigh a ton for their size? I've been weighing myself lately and am shocked--I still wear the same size I've been wearing for the last year but the scale number jumped enormously. With a jump that big, I'd expect my clothes to fit significantly tighter.
Just need to reassure myself that I'm not the only one!
