I almost always have some kind of ice cream at night - now I'm having either a WW Giant Fudge Bar or some other type of reduced sugar or lower carb ice cream. This has always been fine for me when I've been on one of my 10,000 diets
. I have to be careful though because it's all about portions. That's one of the reasons I like the WW and Skinny Cow type ice cream treats - they are measured portions. Last night I was really a bit hungry at about 11:30 p.m. and I knew it wasn't just because I wanted to stuff my face one more time before sleep - I was honestly feeling a hunger pang. I opt'd for one of those new Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bars. They are 190 cal. and 14 carbs but are low in sugar and have 10 grams of protein (which is what fills me up) and pretty good fiber content too. I fell it was a much better choice then a big hunk of cheese and club crackers. I'm hoping as I go along I won't feel a hunger pang like that - but, I've learned the hard way it is better to satisfy it with something somewhat good for you then trying to ignore it and then eating the house the next day.
