So sorry that I didn't get this out last night. We had a major storm which knocked out our power so that meant no computer.

The winner in the drawing for the SparkPeople tshirt is: MAJORMOM 7

She did an excellent job all week long of tracking her food and staying within her calorie range.

A couple of things that I jotted down when going thru the food trackers:

- Some folks go days without a veggie or fruit in sight!!
- There is alot of Fast food going on here.
- Folks staying within calorie range but with bad food choices.
- Not eating all day but then having fat laden fast food choices at the end of the day.
- Eating the same thing day after day after day...getting in a rut!

Just some things to be aware of and hopefully will help you "re-evaluate" your food choices. I truly think it's all about planning and being prepared. I have a friend who lives real close to "fast food" alley. She has her choice of everything imagineable. Therefore, she got into the habit of feeding her family at least two meals a day from one of the fast food chains. She would even make 2-3 stops to get what everyone wanted. As a result, her and hubby have a weight and some minor health issues (high BP, etc.) and two of their children are beginning to show weight problems as well. In March she realized what was happening and took control. She is now planning out their meals and she said the kids love helping her cook and having meals all together at night instead of cruising the town for their dinner...LOL. They also have lost weight and the kids are back to a healthy weight range and her and hubby are closing in on their goal too.

Congratulations to MajorMom7 again and to everyone else who participated.

There's an old saying about "doing something the same way over and over again and expecting different results". I guess weight loss and getting healthy is the same way. We can't "wish" it to happen....it would be great if it was that easy.

Yep, make sure your nutrition trackers are public....so I can peek at them....LOL.

Even though I'm not eligible for the tshirt....the challenge is making me keep track of my calories. Just got done updating it for today and I put every single bite down that I had. I'm at 1187...not quite 1200 calories and I'm going for a 2 mile walk. Calories to spare for a Skinny Ice Cream Sandwich when I get back.

For those who are wondering....I bought myself a sparkpeople tshirt and the XL was too big for me so I've since then ordered a Large. No sense letting this red XL go to waste......it's time for a challenge!

I'm pretty sure that DebDuv will be checking everyones nutrition trackers - she's going to be running this challenge.
You don't have to 'post' anywhere, just use your nutrition tracker. Oh, you do have to go to the team page and under the team topics is the Team Goals lists - you have to ADD GOAL (or something like that) then it will be added on your OTHER GOALS page and make sure you click the box to mark it when you've done each day.

I will do the weight thing but right now I am still to uncomfortable with my body to measure more than once a month and for me that is the 26th,
As for the water thing on thing you forgot to tell everyone is that if you are drinking your water that you will find out when you are really hungry or just eating because you of your emotions.

The rules, I believe, are to use your nutrition tracker for EVERYTHING that you consume each day for the next 2 weeks - you shouldn't check the box until your day is complete. And, of course, you must stay within YOUR personal calorie range - so I guess you're either going to have to put your calorie range on each day's nutrition tracker 'notes' section or post what your range is on this thread.
If you put in the tracker what you put into your body and you are HONEST not only with yourself and the 'challenge' ... YOU WILL HAVE SOME kind of LOSS - it may not necessarily be WEIGHT - it could be inches! SO measure your 3 target areas (neck, waist & hips) and at the end of 2 weeks if the scale doesn't budge, see if the tape measure DID.
And, for those of you STILL not getting in at least half your weight in ounces of water each day - DO IT. Start TODAY in getting the MINIMUM of what YOUR BODY REQUIRES! MOST of us on this team require a MINIMUM of 9 cups (72 ounces) --- NO ONE has a MINIMUM of 8 - you'd have to weigh only 128 pounds for your MINIMUM to be 8. Remember that your body is 80% water. Water will help flush out sodium and other 'junk' that your body isn't using.
