I attended a nutrition seminar given by Sports RD Nancy Clark and she is not a big proponent of engineered sports nutrition supplements...she said fig newtons, pretzels and raisins are just as good, and cheaper than the engineered foods like Clif Shot blocks, gu, Sports Jelly Beans.
