Stay with veggie tray offerings and meat and cheese. If possible make a quick stop at a grocery store tonight or if necessary a convenience store and stock up on several snack packs of nuts. They will keep you very full and although technically not quite induction will be much better than cupcakes or anything else made with grain. Also drink a lot of water and make sure you get enough salt so you will be thirsty. Pickles can help with increasing salt intake. I'm usually too cheap for it but this is one situation where room service could be worth it, if only to get some tea with lemon slices or some egg dish.
I am so nervous about tomorrow. I have lost 9.6 lbs since starting Atkins induction on Sunday. I successfully avoided cheating Sunday night (my first day) at a family dinner at my uncle's Italian restaurant. I passed the garlic knots on to the next person with out taking one, I ate a steak salad rather than pizza or pasta and I turned down the wine and beer. But Saturday is really daunting. It is my uncle's 50th birthday party. They have rented out a place in downtown Atlanta with unlimited amount of drinks and food. I have no idea what kind of food the only thing I know is that they ordered a whole bunch of gourmet cupcakes. The worst part is that I will be taking care of my young cousins all day tomorrow and most of the day is going to be spent in a hotel room or at the party.
It's going to be hard to stick to it tomorrow. Not even b/c of willpower (though that may be a struggle too) but b/c I will not have access to the right kind of food. And I don't have control over what is served.
