great story Paints4 you are a real insperation....thank you
Start your day with a smile, calmness of mind, coolness of emotion and a heart filled with gratitude.
Whoohoo, keep on going!
My diagnosis is COPD/Asthma. I was diagnosed two years ago. I fell into a depression, which involved a great deal of eating. I quit smoking. I gained 50 lbs. I quit walking, felt like I couldn't do anything.
Then, a few months ago, I had an awakening. I am still alive, but was living like I was waiting to die. I went out, got a job. It got me off the couch.
I joined SparkPeople, started walking a mile in the evenings. Changed my diet. I lost 8 lbs. Walking uphill. Breathing better, though spring allergies are a challenge.
My advice is begin to embrace your life again. Start small, dress nice every day. Walk, if only out to the curb. Prepare a beautiful, conscious plate.
Avoid your triggers, dust, smoke, pollen, household chemicals. But be the best you can where you are right now. Life can still be good.
