What is a good size for a broomstick afghan for a baby, and what stitch to use for border? I've restarted this at least 4 times now, and getting really frustrated with it. I'm using a leg off a table as the knitting needle, so I can't ask how many stitches. All of my other blankets, I add 3 rows of treble and weave ribbon through middle row, then some kind of ruffly stitch for last 3 rows.I think it wouldn't look right with all that extra border, so I'd like just 1 or 2 for edging--like ch 3 and dc 5 in each loop. Any thoughts?

We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.
