My stomach is pretty flat and I don't work out but I eat healthy. I have lost a couple inches around and it has made a difference. I'm having an issue with a sore left ankle and for the life of me I don't recall turning it or anything. It popped yesterday so who knows what my problem is? I have been elevating it most of the time.
Its possible to get back to a flat stomach but as the trainer at the gym stated ot me its 80% diet (nutrition) 20% exercise She told me I could do a 100 crunches a day and never get a flat stomach if I eat a high fat diet.

Yes, it's possible. I did it at age 51. Now I'm 60 and my stomach is still flat and toned. What works for me is a lot of yoga and pilates because they target the stomach. Healthy food and exercise are a normal part of my daily routine. Exercise makes me feel energized so it's never a chore.

Yup - 15 more pounds will take care of it. I lost weight 10 years ago at age 42 and had an awesome stomach - for about one day, then I promptly went to Pizza Hut and ate about 8 slices of pizza at the lunch buffet.
Oh well, here we go again. I've lost 15 pounds and have 15 to go - I should change my ticker to a goal of 120, but I'm trying to achieve smaller goals first. Stomach is way better but still blobby - but that's normal for 15 pounds of overweight. We will have fantastic stomachs when we reach our goal - but keep exercising, even more important this time, for us over age 50. Oh joy!

Wow! I am so impressed with your weight loss! I know what you mean about the belly. I have seen people get results with Pilates. But I am not sure if a really ever gets flat like it used to be....but you must be so excited about your new body, super flat tummy or not!
is it really possible over 50 to get rid of the belly? i have another 15 lbs to go to get to 130, but it seems that i lose it everywhere but on my stomach. my @ss has all but disappeared. lol i want to get rid of this bit of an overhang, not expecting to get a six pack. i swim, walk and rebound, and do some stretching with a ball.
oh, i was 212 but never had kids. might as well have tho, for this tummy.
