I look forward to sharing and hearing stories about keeping to a diet plan while away on business. Though I know you can always find healthy food no matter where you are - what I really need is the extra motivation and will power to stay on track. I do so much better at home, when I'm more into a routine. I will be traveling quite a bit this coming year... and I need to really focus on achieveing my goals even when I'm away.

I have never been there, but I know you can find healthy choices. Keep a food journal and don't forget to drink your water.

Have a great time on you business trip too.

Hi,

I travel on business most of the time, and find most restaurants wil happily hold the potates, rice etc or substitute some steamed veg.

Failing that, McDonalds have some pretty good salads, ask for the low fat dressings and grilled chicken. Panera bread has several awesome soups & salads and the calorie counts are posted right on the menu. Resist the $0.99 special offer on the pastry though.

If you order salad ask for the dressing on the side. You can control how much you use, alternatively dip your fork in the dressing then the salad.

Enjoy your trip.

I'll be on business travelling to Charlotte, NC from Canada next week. I have never been to this area of NC before, but I am trying to plan how I will stay on my diet while dining at restaurants all week. Has anyone suggestions on best restaurant choices in the Charlotte and Davidson areas that offer healthy food choices and provide nutritional information on their menus? Thanks!
