I too initially gained when I joined. But, I felt good because I was eating right. I decided to "start over" too though I agree that it is a continuum. However, it worked in my head:} I finally lost 3 pounds so hang in there. I fell off the wagon a bit last night and went 300 over my calorie count. However, I don't feel bad and am back at it today and will stay in my range.
So, if you need to "start over", feel free and evaluate how you feel. As long as you're tracking, exercising and feeling better, you're in a good place.

Myriah,
Glad to be helpful. I am in constant exchange with others on keeping my own head straight(er)!

"We can do together what we cannot do alone,"
I learned, "without resigning our personal responsibility of Self Care."

"Bless us all with our own high regard, always, in all ways; and remember that we are only doing the best we can, until we know better to do better."

PassionateTiger, great response and attitude. Like the thought of a bar of self care.

What I'm looking for is a blessing that's not in disguise.

Are you drinking enough water?
Are you watching your sodium intake....as that will retain water and make you gain.

Wishing you all the best on you healthy lifestyle journey!emoticon

Guess what? The actual idea that you are on or off taking care of yourself is a myth. You cannot start over again. You know better.

How we take care of our body is one long continuum in life. We may abuse ourselves or be loving at any point in time, but there is no off button. Each decision is part of the whole within our quality of living.

Please stop putting your bar of self care down. The clock does not stop. So try and see this as a journey you don't get off of and see if that won't assist you in being more aware and accountable with personal self regard.

Hi all. I started with Spark about a week ago. I thought I was doing 'ok'- not great- but I added 90 minutes of excercise and watched what I ate. So guess what- I weight in today and I gained one pound.

It seems like every month I gain one pound. They are really adding up.

So- today I will start all over again- I appreciate everyone giving advice and motivation. It really helps.
