The Spectrum eating plan 7 days a week with a treat on Sunday.Hubby has a heart problem that they can not fix and I was told this would keep him the healthiest. walking after work 6 days a week meditation and Qigong to get my muscles back in shape. Then start an exercise program.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.- Gandhi
I had a bit of a setback in the past 3 weeks. I haven't updated my weight, yet - as of this post.
My weight goal 30 pounds off [from 2008 weight] by Valentines Day. Fitness Goal Minimum of 10" Cardio per day. Strengthening 3 times a week. Nutrition Goal stay between 1300 & 1600 calories, eating healthy carbs, fats, and proteins.
Linda - North East Indiana, USA `Goal to build myself up to reach 1,000 fitness minutes per month.
I'm going to try and relax a bit more. I stress out over way too many things that I can't change. Stress = overeating, irritability, lost sleep, fatigue, and all sorts of things that aren't going to help me on my journey towards better health.
Last year, my biggest commitment was to go to church every Sunday; I only missed two services - once due to weather and once due to travel. This year, that commitment will continue, along with a further resolve to help that church improve and grow.
Unfortunately, I will also have to commit to finding work, as I lost my biggest -and only- client (I am self-employed so don't get any unemployment benefits). This will be my BIGGEST challenge for the year.
The good thing about that is that it will keep me as frugal as ever - making a dollar stretch and milking every last drop out of whatever I have.
And, I am also committed to getting to that lower weight on the scale. A resolution for January and February is to give up eating dessert after dinner (and no, I don't mean I will eat them after lunch) as a way to jump start that weight loss. I also resolve to really pay attention again to my portion sizes (I've been slacking off) and to eliminate non-essential food items - like potato chips- from my diet .

My number 1 resolution is to make time for ME. Sounds selfish, but I tend to put myself last and that isn't working so going to have to move up the list so I can take care of everyone else (hubby, Dad, Abbie)! I think if I do that then everything else should fall into place.
I have a tradition of coming up with one word to focus on last year it was CHoices. I made a lot of good choices! This year I struggled to find my word but finally today I decided it will be MOMENT. as in to live in the moment... staying present, not always rushing ahead
~Christina My word of the year is TRUST I will Trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding!
I am setting goals to Exercise in some way daily. To do at least 5, 5 K 's this year.
I am committing to eat healthier. I am committed to maintain my weight, and to keep striving to achieve my goal weight in the process. Also I am committing to my faith, to become a more obedient servant, a happy, healthier person Cheryl
