I ran across this while surfing some frugal sites.

1 T unflavored gelatin [=1 pkt Knox]
1 T milk

Boil for 10 seconds in microwave

Allow to cool to comfortable temp.
Spread over problem area, your whole face if you like, to a medium thickness.
Allow to dry
Strip off.

Caution: Do not get this in your hair or eyebrows.
For easy clean up use a plastic or paper cup that you can throw away.

If you like an astringent, use witch hazel. I used to use Clinique, very pricey, but worked great. One day I looked at the label on the expensive astringent and all it said was witch hazel.
