Wow, I was just pondering about getting new measuring spoons and cups. It sure does help with portions control. I also use measuring items to help with my budget. I only have a specific amount I can spend on food for the month, so I need to know how many meals I can get out of any purchase. Thxemoticon

i bought an extra set of measuring cups for that purpose, i also have containers that hold 1/2c - 2 cups which make packing snacks/lunch easy. also buy snack size bags. they can only hold 3/4c.. easy for packing cereal or granola. plus the smaller bags look like it is more food

I use measuring cups and spoons [Dollar Store] of the per serving size for scoops in my food and ingredients containers. For dry ingredients like sugar, oatmeal, Grapenuts, and flour, I use the measuring cup size that I need most often.

This not only helps me be with portion control, but also means that I get the planned number of servings from each package.
