There are many bike trails near where we live. An easy day trip is a simple bike ride with a picnic lunch. cheap and relaxing.
We will be going to
Wisconsin Dells in a few weeks. We stay at a hotel with a water park, so we do't have to pay extra to go to the other parks.
Well, for those of you with kids...
In southern california, Cabrillo Beach has an awesome little aquarium. It's free! It's amazing. They have so much marine life your kids will NOT get bored. AND, down by the beach (I don't recommend swimming, not the cleanest) but there are amazing natural tide pools too.
This is for ideas around your neck of the woods and for others who might be travelling to see things and do stuff on the cheap. Also it would be for festivals and great places known by the locals, maybe even a quiet beach or park that is not so well known but nice to see.
Relax, take your shoes off, y'all come back now you hear!
