Rachel how did your weekend go? Mine sucked eting wise.I decided not to exercise and beginon mondy. Sofar i have walked on the dreadmil for 20 min and rode my bike for 25 mins.

Rachel lets crush this cholesterol monster. He said mine was elevated. So this means I have continued work to do. Lets keep going!

may 10 that is my older son birthday. I am not sure why I do not want to eat at dinner. My appetite is changing. I wil try and eat something lite and nutritious.

I will not send you any more calories. They will be blown in the wind! PUFF! POOOF! Gone!

I have already done my research how to reduce it naturally. I take enought pills. Can't affort any more meds.

Seriously now, do you know what makes it difficult to eat at night?

You know you really remotivated me with your last posts; let's fight cholesterol and pounds together, it is well worth it ,if it prevents having to take medications.

My doctor's visit has been postponed to May 10, so this gives me another month to shape up.

A1C is a total of number tested for diabetics. It counts the prior 3 months of sugar readings. My diabeteis is well controlled but he said my cholesterol is little high I requested that he give me a few month to get it down..after that meds may be required. But I am still going to push.

I am relly struggling with eating dinner. Last night I made a home made shake for dinner. Isn't that funny to have trouble eating. emoticon I am looking into solutions.

Rachel Lets just keep going. I am here. In fact I lost a total of 13 pounds since my last dr check up. He asked if I could continue to lose weight. I said "of course". I found out he I slosing weight too. So we are in the same boat. Now I am awaiting the Test results for my A1C and cholesterol. emoticon

Starting over again in April

My goal for the first week is to log food but not worry about my count. I will be careful with proportions, drink lots of water, space my meals appropriately, try to limit treats, and stick to my cut off time of 8:30pm but i will NOT force myself into a range this week.

What I will force myself to do is exercise. I need this the most right now to help with the stress and anxiety that I have been experiencing almost every day. The goal for the week is 15 miles total of walking or biking plus at least 2 or 3 strength training sessions

I also plan to incorporate more yoga and meditation. I don't have a particular goal here but I will track it as well.

And because my weeks start with Sundays, I'm beginning April today

Rachel that chicken burger was tasty. But that asparagus some not too good. LOL. So far I am at the same weight as last week. I am not complaining I've been having intestional problems. Just now getting back to normal. I think I will try only to eat organix salads if possible. I can not eat spinach. I've tried several times and it just does not agree with me. Fruit are so easy they ares sweet and taste good. I can not think of any fruit that I know of that is not good????? I'll put or estimate my food in take soon. I will celebrate the ounces LOL hopefully I will have more ounces week upcoming. 1547 well I didnot know I ate that much. I'll exercise later.

I do not know what it is with the vegetables, i actually like them, but even when they are prepared and ready in the fridge, i often neglect to eat them.
Salad, peas and chicken burger sounds like a healthy meal.Did you enjoy them more than the asparagus?

Well by the grace of God I am down a few ounces. ys I am celebration the ounces lost. Rachel I too am struggling with the reversal. My appetite is gone goen it comes to vegetables. Monday I foices myself to eat asparagus. It went down but it was not plesant. emoticon emoticon . Last night I ate a big green salad and green peas. along with a home made ground chicken burger.

Good luck for tomorrow, Pat! Good for you that you exercised Sunday even if it was not your official exercise day!

I overate monday night. If it was not for this challenge it would have been worse.So this is positive. Also i am more disciplined with my exercise and when i am not able to walk outside, i do the Leslie Sansone DVD.

Food remains a problem for me.
Maybe i should rewrite my "advantages" card and read it daily again.

Rachel I hope so. I have weight day wednesday and i am shaking in my boots a little. We shall see. Tonight I pushed myself to exercise tonight. Sundays are my day from exercising but being I did not do offical exercise friday (120 min cleaning) I thought I'd pick it up.

Gwynnie it is not good to compare your results to others. I know it is not easy. I hvae many factors against me. My age, endurance, and my many health challenges are BIG factors. My Journey may be different from others but I am still on it. I agree with rachel on the calories. I uped mine especially when I am exercising heavily. I said if I agained from this new cal range I would go back to my old cal range. I found my range on freedieting.com. It said my hight range was over 2000 cal but i know would not work. my range is about 1486-1787. Lowest when I do not exercise heavily and the highest when I am pushing in the exercise department.

Gwynnie I think I will make myself track on paper. I have nutritional tracking books. I may think I am fooling myself by not tracking. But it back fires every time. The scale reveals it. Not sure if the 10 pound loss will be done by april. April is just around the corner. But before stgarting my BLC I was at 191 pounds I have lost a few. emoticon Even if I don't lost 10 pounds by then I will keep on trucking. emoticon

Official weigh-in today: I only lost 1lb total since starting this goal thread a month ago, because i have regained most of the weight.
For some reason, i guess i still have a tendency to believe that i can lose weight while still eating too many calories.
BUT i am NOT giving up and hope the lesson sticks.

My weight loss is pretty slow, due to eating too many calories. I will have to make it a point to stay around 1636 daily.
I did run the cal. and nutrients report (on my trackers) and was extremely surprised to find out that it was due to the fats i was eating (i would have guessed it was the carbs)

Gwynnie, i just looked up your spark page and you did lose 30 lb a while ago, which is quite impressive.
What did you do back then, that worked for you? Maybe your cal. count is too low now and your body goes into energy preservation mode?

Well the stinking scale was nasty today I gained a few pound almost? I know where I went wrong too many chips and I did not exercise 2 days last week. I have to keep on the raod or I will gain what little I have lost. Not feeling defeated. My search for dr to treat my diabetes is on going. The one who I loved quit and is going to another place where they care for hospice patients. My hot flashes are kicking in. visitor has been a no show. Today is my weigh-in day.The result is really bad. Lesson learned, if i do not stay in my range, it will show on the scale.Obvious, you will say; yes, but i tend to forget this reality.

The only bright side is that my exercise portion has improved and exceeds what i am supposed to do.It is my cal. count that i have to watch a lot more closely.

I will not change my ticker and will wait for next week's result and do my best to repair the damage.
Pat and Gwyn, you are doing so well!

Happy St-Patrick's Day.
We have a big celebration here in Montreal, with lots of people attending.

yall I am really dragging on posting my food inake numbers, I mostly track on paper. I am finding tracking on computer too time consuming. I am on a challenge team and it take all I got to keep uo with that. So I will track on paper get results from the food calculator I have at home. I want to make things easy as I can. emoticon

This is my march posting. Even though February was not perfect, i am happy with the results and so so glad that a number of us are travelling along. This really is a great motivation for me to stay honest and focused. I watched my food yesterday and only gained 100gr. after the restaurant. So i lost 3 lb in the first 2 weeks, for a total of 5 since i started to be serious again, , January 7.My aim is to lose another 4 lb during the month of march.Given my recent results, this seems doable if i stay in the same cal. range.
This is where i will need what i learned with Beck, my commitment to this thread and the company of you, my fellow travellers.
Let's make this a successful month and our new way of life for good, and this implies learning to stay focused even when it is more difficult.

A true learning process. I know the present place is a difficult place for me , because of my tendency to sabotage my progress, but i am determined to stick to a new way of eating (RE: the discussion about food and eating this team was having recently.)

Well, I think my eating was pretty good in Feb. Also, I did well most weeks for exercising. I did not lose much (maybe a pound.) So I need to keep at it. And I need to hit the lower end of the range more often.

March will be tough because we have a big family weekend next week (twin Bat Mitvahs) and later in the month Passover, which is a big eating time for me! But, according to what I learned at the specialist, losing weight can be a big key to preventing another stroke (to my eye).

Thanks Heidi! I am assuming that process will be months? Oh Lord I have not been tracking what I ate for days. Tracking food is cumbersome for me. emoticon Still if I do not track I will not know what I ate. I have a tablet but it is slower than the computer. I need to just work with it. I guess
