Hi Cathy, you're never too late! I can see that our team was not big on posting on this thread in May! As for myself, May was a much better month than April, but I did hope to have some results. I stopped eating everything in sight! So that is good!

I'm a little late, since May is almost over, but this long holiday weekend I am going to start rereading the book and update my cards. I need a refresher and this will be a good time for this.

it is hard to be on track with lots of stressin your life. ONe of the things I am learning is that one has to do something else other than eating when there is stress. biking, exercise, iknitting, whatever. i know it is easier said than done.

I'm trying to get back on track. The past several months have not been good for me. Lots of stress in my life, so I do a lot of stress eating. Struggling to get it all under control.

yesterdat met with trainer at JCC. have a new "food plan" with minor tweeks in motion. i am down 2 ponds from tuesday. she says i am welcome to check in with her -- which i will do. will be hard -- she works monday - friday8-5 --- Wednesdays are the only day I can actually "pop in " to see her 0--- but i can always make an appointment iwth her

After four days of tracking in advance and keeping to my food plan, today was more of a challenge. I had a tentative date for lunch with a friend, but we could not seem to get it nailed down. So, I tracked in breakfast and dinner, and this morning, I got a note from her that we could have lunch at noon. So, I didn't get up until around 10, so it would be breakfast and lunch close together. I got busy and made a call to a parent and next thing I knew, I got a call from my friend - could we go early. So it worked out great because I had not eaten yet, so I had an eggbeater omelette to kill off both breakfast and lunch.

So the good news, I think I did well ... the bad news, it was not within my new streak of "tracking ahead and sticking to it" but life is life, and if I try to be so perfect, that is the sure way to derail the whole thing!!!

So, right now, I have to go change my tracker to reflect what I ate and fill out the rest of the day (basing snacks on where things now stand). AND ... I really need to go right back onto the daily tracking ahead! I know it will not be every single day, but for now, so close to the beginning of getting serious again, I need to do that.

May IS GOING TO COUNT! I believe it!

Jspeed, what an exciting program you have!

Like you said, Judi,I like the structure of this 17 day diet; also it takes away all the quick sugars and hopefully my cravings as well.
I now know that sugar is a real danger for me, leading to cravings.
The first cycle however (i am on day 5) is more difficult than i thought b/c i miss my bread in the morning. oh well...

Exercise balances my appetite. I am diong the Spring Into Shape Bootcamp Challenge this month, Another Bootcamp next month, and the 5% Challenge this month and next.

I am reading the whole book again, a chapter a day, and adding any notes that I need, and any cards I want. emoticon

I have done well for three days now! I like to hear that we are all working on this anew! I feel good about it! I already lost a pound. I hope this keeps going!

Rachel, that sounds like an interesting diet. I don't know if I would love the specific choices of food, but I really do like something very, very structured for short periods of time. I think that sort of thing works well.

I am all energized too!
Started a new diet on saturday : the 17 day diet
(lots of fish, poultry and veggies;1 tbs oil, 2 fruit, 2 portions greek yogurt each day for 17 days)
