WEEK FOUR: Back to NORMAL!!!!

I am home from my traveling. Its a busy week, but nothing like the last three. For one, I will wake up in my own bed every day and eat out of my own fridge for every meals with few exceptions. Also I will have unlimited access to the internet.

Monday: didn't log, ate way too much and badly on drive home, did walk for about 20 minutes

Tuesday, logging, started day with 20 minute walk, stayed at low end of range

Wednesday: logging, did 3 miles Leslie

My March Goals:

Create daily food plan
Track & follow my food plan
Get a handle on the cravings/binging

I'm sort of stalled on Day 13, I binged last night and today I ate the food a coworker brought to work instead of my planned lunch. I'm determined to use the rest of March to work on this!

So March has turned out to be the month of constant traveling. My goal really now is to stay as close to my patterns as possible during travel, not to stress about the things I can't do (don't always have access to internet to log, have to make best choices eating out etc). Two weeks into it, so far so good. Week three is more of the same

Monday (home) no exercise, ate over range, logged

Tuesday (home) walked, ate over range, logged (having a hard time readjusting my stomach size)

Wednesday (home) walked, stayed in range, logged

Thursday (travel day)

Friday (conference)

Saturday (travel day)

Sunday (home)

WEEK TWO:

Monday 3/7 walked 30 minutes; stayed in range and logged; this week's flowers are cut daffodils

Tuesday: stayed in range (even with an unplanned dinner out!)

Wednesday: stayed in range, felt sick in evening and went to bed early, no exercise

THursday: 30 minutes exercise--travel day; ate well, couldn't finish logging

Friday: 2 mile Leslie, long interview day; ate well, no internet to log

Saturday: travel day plus period, ate some junk but mostly well, no exercise

Sunday: recovery day

Weight was up two pounds which is normal for me in early days of period

I gained three pounds on this trip. It was a feeding frenzy. So I really need to make the rest of March really really COUNT! (Because before you know it, there will be Passover with all of its food challenges.)

I am tracking, grocery shopping to be able to do my preparatory cooking to help me stay on track, and I am BACK OFF SWEETS! (Why do I have to test this boundary so often!!! I just need to stay off sweets. I felt sick from eating them and there was a strange after taste!)

Now, I am going to the pool!

Get to bed by 9:30 and get back to bed after letting the puppy "potty."

Complete Week 4 of the 5K walk training .

Stay in-range of calories 5 days out of 7.

Cardio 40 min 3 times a week.

Enjoy two or more stress-reduction techniques each day emoticon

Now, if I can just get the stiffness out of one side of my neck, I'll have another huge hurdle cleared.

Since I am on vacation, I am not being super strict about food, but I am tracking it all. Last night, we went to Outback. My DH and I split a ribeye steak and ordered extra sides. We asked them not to put butter on any of it. I tracked it in advance, which was a really good idea because my mom ordered the wings, and I would have definitely snitched one of her wings if I had not already tracked my food!

Gotta go help my folks with a light bulb!

My goal for march is simply to stay on track-- or very close to it. There are several trips this month and I'm already on the first leg of one

WEEK ONE

Monday 2/28 Ate in range, did 30 minutes Leslie
Tuesday 3/1 Traveling, evening talk, looong day; 200 calories over, did Jillian shreds in am
Wednesday 3/2 More Traveling, did 2 miles Leslie in morning, didn't track
Thursday 3/3 Interviews over 12 hours, didn't sleep last night, did 20 minutes yoga to wake up my body, ate as well as I could, used trail mix for protein/energy shots throughout the day
Friday 3/4 Traveling home, walked about 45 minutes, ate well
Saturday 3/5 HOME! 20 minutes elliptical, logged food, stayed in range (hard to do)
Sunday 3/6 50 minutes track walking, logged food, stayed in range (after eating too many sweets at knitting get together)

Down one pound this week! I consider that a HUGE win for a week with so much traveling. I'm not fully back on track but I'm well on the way. I might be traveling again soon, won't know for sure for another day or two...

I'm working through the workbook and using the Spark Diet.
Set up my Sparkpeople Motivational Calendar for March today. Here are the 4 goals I'm using it to track. I might tack on goals as I continue w/ Beck.

Drink 1 Gallon of water/ day
Visit the gym 5x/ wk
Stay under 1400 calories/ day
Complete one project/ day~ managing stress ;)

My goals for March are very simple and basic, but if i stay focused i will feel a lot better:
Stay within range
Go to bed no later than 11 p.m.

sunday the only saving grace is that i recorded my calories, but went 1000 cal over...

wednesday march 9 : i did not enter data everyday but my weigh in shows a 1.5 lb loss.I am back on track

I am recommitting to Beck. I keep starting and restarting. So I am going on from where I was. I blogged about my start. So I am restarting with week 2. My goal is to stay up with my Biggest Loser-White Tiger team goals and also each day's Beck assignment.

Here are my goals before I start reading Beck... they may change as i work through the program:


1. Log my nutrition daily and stay within calorie range

2. Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily

3. Exercise or physical activity at least 20 minutes 6 days/week

4. Eat at least 4 veggies/fruit daily

5. Stay away from fast food daily

6. Reduce or eliminate sugar

For me, March will be a month for getting caught up on life.

My goal is to maintain my weight and position myself to be ready to lose again soon.

I will track my food. (Sometimes ahead of time, sometimes after eating.)
I will keep up on special cooking (things I need for healthy eating)
I will swim two to three times per week
I will continue giving zumba a try (and maybe have a shot in my knee!)
I will communicate with my Spark Friends (maybe not every single day, but often)

March will rock!
