This looks good. I will omit the onions because I don't like them much (I don't mind onion powder but I hate to bite into onion itself)

I also use No Salt. Great stuff, that!

KETO FRIENDLY BEEF CABBAGE CARROT ONION MUSHROOM STIR FRY !!

VERY FAST AND EASY TO MAKE...HEALTHY!

I love this recipe because you can put in ANY seasoning you wish. I have made it with Indian Masala spice, Chinese 5 Spice, just salt and pepper, a bag of taco seasoning mix, burrito mix, Cajun Seasoning, or ANY other seasoning blend you wish. Be Creative!!

I WILL say, that I always add Red Chili Flakes to mine, enough to lightly cover the entire surface of the food in the pan.

You will have to use your largest pot, a dutch oven or a great big Wok will do nicely.

INGREDIENTS:
1 to 1 1/2 lbs of Ground beef, high or low fat, whatever you want. I use 1 lb, sometimes more If I'm wanting it meatier.
1 large onion chopped medium
1 of the store boxes of sliced mushrooms
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups grated carrots (I don't know how many really, I just like a lot)
YOUR choice of spices, read below hints.
1 to 1/2 tsp salt...to your taste...start with 1 tsp. Next time adjust it.

1 medium head of cabbage, slice in half, core, then lay on flat side on plate, and cut into thirds, then slice 1/2 inch wide slices. Put the whole head in when it's time

Cook the beef, break it up small so the men don't pick out all the chunks of the meat (Mine does!) Then add your spices before you add the veggies. Easier to mix well.

Add the onions, carrot and mushrooms, cook and stir until onions are clear. You will have to add HOT water, I keep a small pot of boiling water on the side so I don't stop the cooking process.

About the time you get the cabbage cut up, it will be time to put it into the pot. Stir well. Cover, make sure there is water, cook on LOW simmer for 15 minutes, then stir, then cook for 15 minutes more. I ALWAYS USE A TIMER! Or I will forget....I always am working on something....

NOW IT"S DONE!!.....a side salad with mayo on does go good with it. I do not remove the fat after I've cooked the ground beef. I HAVE also put a couple TBSP Coconut oil in my recipe. Days when I needed more fat. It's versatile. Just decide what spice you are craving, and put it in the recipe. It usually takes about TWO TSP of spices for the recipe I DO add about a teaspoon of salt, 1 1/2 tsp salt if I am using my bottles of spices. I still add Red Chili Flakes no matter what spices I've used (very nice with Chinese 5 Spice--2 tsp), probably at least a tsp or 1 1/2 tsp.

It makes a big pot full. Mine's ready right now, so I'm gone now.....YUMMY!!

Lots of leftovers for me, but we are only TWO people here.
Maybe one meal for 4 people with a side salad........ i DIVIDE it up into 4 servings. I calculated a serving macros as...but I do need to double check, I'll edit if necessary...

310 calories using 1 lb gr beef
11 gr fat, more if you add coconut oil, so track that separately, I add it to my bowls.
13 carbs (from carrots probably)
7 gr Sugar (I don't know what from, carrots?)
717 mg Sodium

LASTLY, we do need to make sure we get a bit more salt in our diets, also Potassium. I use No Salt brand, 11 oz for about $7.50. I use a teaspoon a day, in water a liter, otherwise I do NOT get enough potassium and I have muscle cramps. Magnesium should also be supplemented on Keto diet.
