I cleaned out the fridge, freezer, and pantry since I had not planned to cook (it was just me and my husband), but we ended up with a great meal anyway: cornbread and veggie sausage stuffing, mac and carnival squash cheese, maple-mustard roasted root vegetables, just plain ol' green beans, and Caribbean spiced pineapple carrot cake with coconut icing (silken tofu-based, and really creamy!) Finished the leftovers last night, and now I can't wait to go grocery shopping since "the cupboards are bare."

I was pleased with myself. I stuck to my plan and came in under my calorie range for the day!!!

No foods with high fructose corn syrup, sugar, rice syrup, corn syrup, fructose, sucrose etc. in the first three ingredients.

No foods that have more than 3 ingredients that I can not pronounce.

If an item has more than 10 ingredients it is too processed, I will not eat or buy the item.

We ate our Thanksgiving meal last Sunday (accommodating family schedules)... and my choices weren't so bad, but I sure did eat more than I should have.
