Sorry for the mixed up reply -- my pc is acting up again and all I see when I go to reply is a thin little line -- so I don't get to see ANYTHING that I'm typing till after I post it -- lol

My favourite dessert is frozen raspberries or blueberries whizzed up with a bit of chocolate almond milk. Very calorie friendly, and not a bit of added sugar. Chocolate almond milk can be found at most health food stores. You could also use chocolate soy milk.

I have replied by Spark Mail because the recipe I sent is copyrighted.

I suggest the Strawberry Frozen Fruit Dessert from The McDougall Program: 12 Days to Dynamic Health, by John and Mary McDougall. It is a sweet, creamy frozen dessert without a speck of dairy, egg, fat or added sugar.

If cold isn't appealing, baked apples might work. They could go in the oven after the main dishes come out.

Hi Dee,
Agave syrup does not raise blood sugar like many other sweeteners. You can substitute it for honey in many dessert recipes. You might also try Stevia, but it is not 1 to 1, so I found it more difficult to get the right amount. Feel free to email me if you'd like.

My DIL has a tendency towards gestational diabetes and has requested a 'daibetic friendly dessert' for Thanksgiving.

I would REALLY love to find one that would be 'diabetic friendly' without using artificial sweetners. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance
