My favourite dessert is frozen raspberries or blueberries whizzed up with a bit of chocolate almond milk. Very calorie friendly, and not a bit of added sugar. Chocolate almond milk can be found at most health food stores. You could also use chocolate soy milk.

I suggest the Strawberry Frozen Fruit Dessert from The McDougall Program: 12 Days to Dynamic Health, by John and Mary McDougall. It is a sweet, creamy frozen dessert without a speck of dairy, egg, fat or added sugar.
If cold isn't appealing, baked apples might work. They could go in the oven after the main dishes come out.

Hi Dee, Agave syrup does not raise blood sugar like many other sweeteners. You can substitute it for honey in many dessert recipes. You might also try Stevia, but it is not 1 to 1, so I found it more difficult to get the right amount. Feel free to email me if you'd like. Leah
