Holy moly... has it been a month already?!? I posted at the beginning on the May Challenge thread and never got back to it... with DH in and out of the hospital, my "plan" went right out of my mind!
Here's what I wrote:
I asked DH to walk with me each morning... I know it will be hard for us to walk together, with his pace naturally being faster and me dependent on a walker. Still, it's a great way to start the day - a good mood lift - plus, gets me out of the house and exposed to the sun for some natural vitamin D. We're to start with around the block, and take it from there as time goes on.
Well, DH isn't walking so fast now, but he's also usually fatigued and gets very shaky. Add to that that he has a complication with his PD catheter, and has to go back for more surgery to repair the problem, I have to adjust this "walking" idea and take the initiative to do it (or some other regular exercise) myself... BY myself...
I did lose about four pounds in May, and continued to lose this first week in June; my goal is another five by the end of June. I left the house three times this week, and walked a lot during errands - that was WAY out of my comfort zone - so I guess I started this challenge without realizing it! I will TRY to remember to come back and post, I promise.
