I am on Day 72 and have been POP for all but 3 days. However, today, DH got me a Chelada Beer. My one most favorite thing to enjoy, I haven't had one in over a month. BUT, today I am going to enjoy it. Every last drop! I am not sure how this will affect my overall daily goals for Keto. But today, it is HOT here in Arizona, and I just really want to have this one treat. SO, this is my 4th time in having an alcohol beverage in 72 days! I think this is pretty darn good, don't you?

So this is kind of a replay of what the last 3 weeks on Keto have been like.
I like this idea. Too many people are against Ketogenic Diet. I too was skeptical, until I gave it an honest try! Now, I'm 100% IN IT!

I am starting my journal somewhat late in my journey. I am on Day 24 with perfect 70-25-5 ratios. Some days I'm around 7 or 8% on the carbs, but it is still keto. Those are the days when I've had cottage cheese, or greek yogurt. Two of my favorite foods. Except for my newly discovered Fat Bombs. They are truly dreamy! I was hoping that the Fat Bombs would help me get the fat intake up to where it should be to be true keto. And they do. I had difficulty with adding fats to my foods, and would feel a bit nauseous if I added oils to some foods. However, my Keto Mayonnaise is very good, and goes with a lot of foods.

In the past couple weeks, my heartburn and indigestion have become less and less. I sleep better too.

I did get the Keto Flu and felt quite bad for about 5 days, headaches and achy all over, like the flu really, that was around the 13th Keto day. But amazingly, after that, my energy soared, my thinking cleared up and I was able to do much more productive writing, and my product marketing. Way less procrastination. I have had headaches off and on, but they were not so bothersome, or if they were I just took two aspirins.

Another "ah ha" moment was Wednesday 5/7/14 morning when I climbed in and out of my very tall and huge maxivan several times doing my errands, it was almost easy! Usually 3 times is my maximum. YAY! I also have 'ah ha' moments at times and suddenly I feel slimmer, way slimmer.

At times, I thought I can't do this. But each morning, I always plan out on myfitnesspal app the exact foods I'm going to eat for that day. Carbs are often 20 or less. One day it was only 9 grams. So far, I've been 90% successful with that plan. I sometimes slip, like tonight, instead of a protein food I should have had, I chose at the last minute to eat a cup of cottage cheese.

At times I would feel fearful of the fat. Thinking that every little chest pain (I have chronic indigestion with a burning hiatal hernia) was a heart attack because of the high intake of fat. I took baking soda, within minutes I was fine.
