Congratulations to those of us who stuck with the whole 100 Days! It was harder than I thought it would be..I've NEVER been good at doing the 'daily reading' kind of thing. I like to read it all at once and be done with it...so just doing the lessons one day at a time was a big deal for me!

4/2/14 - 191 emoticon So I've lost 31.2 since 1/1 or about 10# month. I'm just thrilled that I'm seeing the benefits of the commitment to this healthy eating and trading TV and reading for fitness minutes.

4/10/14-final weigh in - 189 even!

I posted some Aunty Acid stuff on a recent blog and she says in the last one about shaving before weighing in is desperation. Two of the cutest comments were "blow your nose" and "spit real hard".

I think the book contained lots of 'secrets to success' but none that were new or earth shattering to me. The thing that works for me is the commitment to measure and track and to laugh along the way!
Thanks to all of you for being on this journey with me and the encouragement and inspiration I got from all of you!

2. 100 Day Goals: TO BE IN ONEDERLAND!! (About 60ish lbs to lose)

3. To reach those goals each day I will:

~~~~~ TRACK MY FOOD DAILY
~~~~~ DO A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTES EXERCISE DAILY
~~~~~ DO A MINIMUM OF 5K 3 TIMES A WEEK (Walk, Jog or Bike)
~~~~~ SPARK DAILY
~~~~~ COMPLETE 100 DAY CHALLENGE AND BOOK

1/1/14 = 260.2

1/8/14 = 260.2 ~. I was actually down to 257.8 this week then I came right back to 260.2. Bummer. However, I will not let this discourage me because I Will ALWAYS be Committed to my Weight-Loss plan even if I don't lose any weight. With that said, here are my positives - I lost 6.25 Inches All Over my Body! I have Faithfully been Working Towards My Goal by Doing #3 on my List Above.

1/15/14 = 260.8 ~ What is this?!? A #Plateau or Muscle Gain? Cus I sure am working hard. I am getting compliments on looking slimmer and I have moved down to XL from 2X in t-shirts. I will see how it goes next week. #COMMITTED!!

1/22/14 = 256.4 - So after adding extra walking activities in the mornings my weight started to move. Been sick in bed and put on 2.2 lbs but kept a 4 lb loss!

1/29/14 = 257.2 - I have been on the ball with my exercises. Some days twice a day. I have been off with my eating and nutrition tracking. Went to the grocery store last nite and stocked up on some healthy fare. I hope to get back on track eating-wise this week.
NSV!! In 10 Days I have lost another 4.7 Inches all over!!

2/5/14 = 255 - Still keeping up with my exercise. Lowered my Carb intake this week. Scale seems to be moving again. Lost more inches as well.

2/12/14 = 257.4 - Went way off track for several days.

2/19/14= 252 - WoooHoo!! My lowest weight in a few years!! I do believe I am back on track! I'm eating low carb and still getting my exercises in. I hope my weight loss for next week is consistent. 240s here I come!

2/26/14= 250.4 - 250s been hanging on ALL week! Grrrr. I will prevail! 240s by next weigh in GUARANTEED!!

3/5/14 = 250.2 - must be PMS this past week. I got down to 248 but went back up to 251. I'm still going strong though.

3/12/14 = 249.8 emoticon I have been under 250 all week thus far! I hope to keep moving in the right direction.

3/19/14 = 246.2 - Joined a fitness challenge at work. Included gym membership. Also cut salt out of my diet.
3/26/14 = 244.8

4/2/14 = 245.4 - I'm actually on the way down from a 3lb gain over the weekend.

Weigh-In for 4/9
Weekly Update-Down 33 Pounds since 1/1 emoticon
Track all my food, sticking to Low Carb Meals- emoticon
Track my fitness minutes and exercise at least 120 minutes each day exceeded-almost doubled most days- emoticon
Weigh-in once a week. 189.2 emoticon
Get back down to 4 cigarettes a day. emoticon Nope! Had a couple of daze where I smoked like a house on fire. Won't even make excuses-just smoked instead of emotional eating for stress relief and was conscious of doing it.
Work 15 Minutes each day with Grace and Gus on leash training and basic manners so we can do Therapy Dog Program. 6 of 7 daze.
Walk a 5K each week. emoticon Came in at 45:38 so closer to my 45 minute goal than ever before!
Read the 100 Days of Weight Loss book with an open mind and participate in the discussions and do the workbook exercises. emoticon
Blog at least once per week - emoticon In fact I've been posting a daily blog since I started my St Patrick's Day blogs but have realized I spend too much time on SP when I should be de-cluttering, packing and working with the dogs. Thinking I'll take a spark break when this challenge is over and just track my food and fitness.

(Summary 18 lb. weight loss. Didn't reach my goal of losing 30 lbs; however, I'm very pleased that I lost 18 pounds I pray I'll never see again. Read the book fairly faithfully (Had a few days where I had to play catch-up, and I stopped logging into the computer on a daily basis. However, I wanted to do the final weigh-in. I'm still packing my lunch and eating nutritously 90% of the time, and have been exercising a lot---quick swims and exercise videos on the weekdays and long hikes with my daughter and my dogs on the weekend. I'm glad I read this book--lots of very good advice in it that I hope will become automatic for me. Now, I'll start this new study I picked up at a yard sale---Lose it for Life. The need to learn and stay motivated goes on. I've got another 20 lbs. to go before I'm within the healthy BMI range. Wishing everyone the very, very best and thanks again Leila for beginning this study.)

2. 100 Day Goals: to lose 30+ pounds--approximately 10 pounds a month.

~ stay in calorie range 1200-1400
~ eat nutritiously(get the most bang for my buck calorie food)

Weigh in 4/7/14 175.8 (+2.8)

I went back to the dr today because I was feeling so poorly. Thanks to all my spark friends for pushing me a bit! The strep is gone, but it went down to my chest; bronchitis on it's way to pneumonia. He gave me some stronger meds, and I should be feeling better in 3 days.

Good! I'm going to be chaperoning a band trip to Chicago. The dr's daughter is going, too. So I'm sure he wouldn't ok me unless I would be healthy and not contagious. I told the dr I gained 3 pounds in 3 days and he agreed with me that it's water weight. I've got no appetite.

So I'll be as kind to myself as I would to a sister or friend who was sick and gained a bunch of weight. You poor dear! I know how hard I work at losing weight. How committed I am to fitness. I'll just take care of my bronchitis and get a lot of rest, and when I'm back to full health, I can lose the weight in no time. Because it feels better to be living slim, fit & healthy.

Congratulations to everyone who lost weight or otherwise made progress on their goals this week!

I ate at the low end of my calorie range this week and had a great weigh-in this morning. I'm still .2 lbs shy of my 30 lb goal for this 100 day challenge but I think I can drop that before our final weigh-in on Wednesday.

Lost another pound. Lost a total of 9 lbs since starting challenge and lost 16 lbs since restarting spark people in 10/13. I started an annual seasonal job in Jan an in the past I didn't exercise or plan meals so I stayed the same or gained weight. This challenge and following my spark program has really made a difference. The biggest difference is that my health has improved. Off cholesterol medicine, blood pressure down and A1C is not continuously going up.

1. My starting weight is 214___.
2. 100 Day Goals: to be 15 pounds lighter.
3. To reach those goals each day I will:
~ stay in calorie range 1200-1600
~ exercise at least 15 minutes every day
~ Track my food on Sparkpeople
~ Drink 8 glasses of water daily
~ Continue reading group & following "100 Days of Weight Loss" until completed.

Weekly Update-Down 31.2 Pounds since 1/1 emoticon
Track all my food, sticking to Low Carb Meals- emoticon
Track my fitness minutes and exercise at least 120 minutes each day exceeded-almost doubled most days- emoticon
Weigh-in once a week. 191.0 emoticon
Get back down to 4 cigarettes a day. emoticon Nope! Had a couple of daze where I smoked like a house on fire. Won't even make excuses-just smoked instead of emotional eating for stress relief and was conscious of doing it.
Work 15 Minutes each day with Grace and Gus on leash training and basic manners so we can do Therapy Dog Program. 6 of 7 daze.
Walk a 5K each week. emoticon Still haven't broken the 45 minute barrier but I'm determined!
Read the 100 Days of Weight Loss book with an open mind and participate in the discussions and do the workbook exercises. emoticon but I'm so glad we're on the last segment. I'm really tired of this book.
Blog at least once per week - emoticon In fact I've been posting a daily blog since I started my St Patrick's Day blogs but have realized I spend too much time on SP when I should be de-cluttering, packing and working with the dogs. Thinking I'll take a spark break when this challenge is over and just track my food and fitness.

1/8/14 = 260.2 ~. I was actually down to 257.8 this week then I came right back to 260.2. Bummer. However, I will not let this discourage me because I Will ALWAYS be Committed to my Weight-Loss plan even if I don't lose any weight. With that said, here are my positives - I lost 6.25 Inches All Over my Body! I have Faithfully been Working Towards My Goal by Doing #3 on my List Above.

1/15/14 = 260.8 ~ What is this?!? A #Plateau or Muscle Gain? Cus I sure am working hard. I am getting compliments on looking slimmer and I have moved down to XL from 2X in t-shirts. I will see how it goes next week. #COMMITTED!!

1/22/14 = 256.4 - So after adding extra walking activities in the mornings my weight started to move. Been sick in bed and put on 2.2 lbs but kept a 4 lb loss!

1/29/14 = 257.2 - I have been on the ball with my exercises. Some days twice a day. I have been off with my eating and nutrition tracking. Went to the grocery store last nite and stocked up on some healthy fare. I hope to get back on track eating-wise this week.
NSV!! In 10 Days I have lost another 4.7 Inches all over!!

2/5/14 = 255 - Still keeping up with my exercise. Lowered my Carb intake this week. Scale seems to be moving again. Lost more inches as well.

2/12/14 = 257.4 - Went way off track for several days.

2/19/14= 252 - WoooHoo!! My lowest weight in a few years!! I do believe I am back on track! I'm eating low carb and still getting my exercises in. I hope my weight loss for next week is consistent. 240s here I come!

2/26/14= 250.4 - 250s been hanging on ALL week! Grrrr. I will prevail! 240s by next weigh in GUARANTEED!!

3/5/14 = 250.2 - must be PMS this past week. I got down to 248 but went back up to 251. I'm still going strong though.

3/12/14 = 249.8 emoticon I have been under 250 all week thus far! I hope to keep moving in the right direction.

3/19/14 = 246.2 - Joined a fitness challenge at work. Included gym membership. Also cut salt out of my diet.
3/26/14 = 244.8

4/2/14 = 245.4 - I'm actually on the way down from a 3lb gain over the weekend.

This wk was tough but I did it! stuck to most my goals, I have 10 dailys and cal limit of 1000-1500. Had my first real for 2014. (oppsie, over 2000 cals day, started the day w/a box of crackers! yes a whole box) and decided to let it go! (erase it!) I didn't even put it in my tracker, my first time ever. My cals that day were under 1500! Great day! (not counting the 1000 from my box of crackers!) I just figured something out.. It's not my fault, it was the CRACKers that were the problem. My friends are always saying I love my Diet Crack (coke) yes I am addicted, but never thought of CRACKers in that term before, yes it fits!

Other than that, On track loving life and doing great, eating less, drinking more and moving my booty! Oh life is busy good!

1/22/14 = 256.4 - So after adding extra walking activities in the mornings my weight started to move. Been sick in bed and put on 2.2 lbs but kept a 4 lb loss!

1/29/14 = 257.2 - I have been on the ball with my exercises. Some days twice a day. I have been off with my eating and nutrition tracking. Went to the grocery store last nite and stocked up on some healthy fare. I hope to get back on track eating-wise this week.
NSV!! In 10 Days I have lost another 4.7 Inches all over!!

2/5/14 = 255 - Still keeping up with my exercise. Lowered my Carb intake this week. Scale seems to be moving again. Lost more inches as well.

2/12/14 = 257.4 - Went way off track for several days.

2/19/14= 252 - WoooHoo!! My lowest weight in a few years!! I do believe I am back on track! I'm eating low carb and still getting my exercises in. I hope my weight loss for next week is consistent. 240s here I come!

2/26/14= 250.4 - 250s been hanging on ALL week! Grrrr. I will prevail! 240s by next weigh in GUARANTEED!!

3/5/14 = 250.2 - must be PMS this past week. I got down to 248 but went back up to 251. I'm still going strong though.

3/12/14 = 249.8 emoticon I have been under 250 all week thus far! I hope to keep moving in the right direction.

Did a 2 day Atkins protein only fast re-start. Lost 2 pounds, and feel like I'm back. Reading & journaling 100 days again. Feels so good to be on track.

Thanks for getting me plugged back in Letha. I've been slacking for weeks, not reading my daily helps, tracking, or avoiding traps.

So ashamed, I'm the same weight I was 1/1/14 in spite of all the good ideas. Just tired of dieting after 3 years. OK . I commit to losing 2 pounds by the end of this challenge, getting back to reading, journaling, and tracking.

This wk has been the hardest! On 2/28 after my last w/i I went on a 3 day cruise, then to a tennis tournament (in palm springs) w/friends Tues & Thurs all day and night. Doing my best to stick to commitments whenever possible. For the situations- doing great! For my everyday life- pushing it! Hoping to be my same wt before the cruise on my bday. 156.8 (march 20th) , and be 155 by the end of March. If I can end this challenge at 155 (or less) , I will have lost 16.8 pds, that would be amazing! Wish me confidence and courage to keep my daily commitments!

1/8/14 = 260.2 ~. I was actually down to 257.8 this week then I came right back to 260.2. Bummer. However, I will not let this discourage me because I Will ALWAYS be Committed to my Weight-Loss plan even if I don't lose any weight. With that said, here are my positives - I lost 6.25 Inches All Over my Body! I have Faithfully been Working Towards My Goal by Doing #3 on my List Above.

Track all my food, sticking to Low Carb Meals- emoticon
Track my fitness minutes and exercise at least 120 minutes each day exceeded-almost doubled most days-good walking weather emoticon

2. 100 Day Goals: TO BE IN ONEDERLAND!! (About 60ish lbs to lose)

3. To reach those goals each day I will:

~~~~~ TRACK MY FOOD DAILY
~~~~~ DO A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTES EXERCISE DAILY
~~~~~ DO A MINIMUM OF 5K 3 TIMES A WEEK (Walk, Jog or Bike)
~~~~~ SPARK DAILY
~~~~~ COMPLETE 100 DAY CHALLENGE AND BOOK

1/1/14 = 260.2

1/8/14 = 260.2 ~. I was actually down to 257.8 this week then I came right back to 260.2. Bummer. However, I will not let this discourage me because I Will ALWAYS be Committed to my Weight-Loss plan even if I don't lose any weight. With that said, here are my positives - I lost 6.25 Inches All Over my Body! I have Faithfully been Working Towards My Goal by Doing #3 on my List Above.

1/15/14 = 260.8 ~ What is this?!? A #Plateau or Muscle Gain? Cus I sure am working hard. I am getting compliments on looking slimmer and I have moved down to XL from 2X in t-shirts. I will see how it goes next week. #COMMITTED!!

1/22/14 = 256.4 - So after adding extra walking activities in the mornings my weight started to move. Been sick in bed and put on 2.2 lbs but kept a 4 lb loss!

1/29/14 = 257.2 - I have been on the ball with my exercises. Some days twice a day. I have been off with my eating and nutrition tracking. Went to the grocery store last nite and stocked up on some healthy fare. I hope to get back on track eating-wise this week.
NSV!! In 10 Days I have lost another 4.7 Inches all over!!

2/5/14 = 255 - Still keeping up with my exercise. Lowered my Carb intake this week. Scale seems to be moving again. Lost more inches as well.

2/12/14 = 257.4 - Went way off track for several days.

2/19/14= 252 - WoooHoo!! My lowest weight in a few years!! I do believe I am back on track! I'm eating low carb and still getting my exercises in. I hope my weight loss for next week is consistent. 240s here I come!

2/26/14= 250.4 - 250s been hanging on ALL week! Grrrr. I will prevail! 240s by next weigh in GUARANTEED!!

3/5/14 = 250.2 - must be PMS this past week. I got down to 248 but went back up to 251. I'm still going strong though.

3/12/14 = 249.8 emoticon I have been under 250 all week thus far! I hope to keep moving in the right direction.

This wk has been the hardest! On 2/28 after my last w/i I went on a 3 day cruise, then to a tennis tournament (in palm springs) w/friends Tues & Thurs all day and night. Doing my best to stick to commitments whenever possible. For the situations- doing great! For my everyday life- pushing it! Hoping to be my same wt before the cruise on my bday. 156.8 (march 20th) , and be 155 by the end of March. If I can end this challenge at 155 (or less) , I will have lost 16.8 pds, that would be amazing! Wish me confidence and courage to keep my daily commitments!

Well, it looks like I'm not going to meet my original goal (162) for the 100 days of weight loss. So I'm changing it to 169, the "magic number" where I get out of the obese category and "magically" become merely overweight. The quotation marks indicate sarcasm.
