CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are doing something absolutely WONDERFUL for yourself!
This post is gonna be kind of long, and I'll come up with as many suggestions as I can to help you out on this new journey.
Start SMALL! I know that it's tempting to jump in and swear you will never eat this food, and that food EVER again. DON"T DO THIS. Stick with your Fast Break goals. Every small change you make adds up and takes you 1 step closer to your goal.
Vow that for a week or 2 you'll substitute a glass of water for your usual soda or latte. Or substitute non-fat milk for whole milk in your latte. These are simple changes that make a big difference.
As you get accustomed to these, add something else, like sugar-free syrup in your non-fat latte, or an apple for your daily 3pm snack. Do continue with your previous change tho, it'll become a building block to facilitate your changes.
Don't give up; this is a journey, with twists and turns, potholes, bumps, just like any other. You'll have rocky days, and awesome days. Reach out, talk to people. Maybe blog. It helps to get the support you need.
MOVE! I don't care if it's 2 steps off the couch; or lifting your leg while sitting in the chair, or whatever. Whatever you are capable of, do it. The more you can move, the more you burn calories. It doesn't matter how much you can handle, but try to do it at least 2 or 3 times a week.
