I think one thing to successfully get things underway is to determine, WHAT your goal is? Is it to be healthier (if so, what does healthier mean to you - weight loss, getting off any medicine you're one, the ability to walk up a flight of stairs without feeling like you've just run a marathon?)
Whatever your goal is - my hope is that we can all pull together to help each of us achieve our individual goals AND motivate each other along the way.
My name is Whitney, I'm a mom to 2 kids - Hailey is 7 and my son Carter is 3. I didn't have a weight problem until I became an adult and since then, it's been a struggle for me constantly. I work A LOT of hours and most of those times (up until pretty recent) I was sitting behind a desk all day. Finding the time to work out (go to a gym) while off work sends me into a fit of guilt. I work all day, my kids are in daycare or school - the last thing I want to do is put them in childcare at a gym. Uggh, at this rate I'll never lose the weight.
So, for me - I bought some DVD's to help me exercise at home, where my kids are - where they can witness me actually do something to better myself.
I'm sure my list of goals is going to change as time goes on, but I wanted to say - you are not alone. I am extremely hopeful that the team we build (not only for the challenge) but in general will be a group that is motivating, uplifting and able to give each of us the support we need to keep going.
I've fallen enough to skin my knees - but I'm up, I'm ready to keep running.
Whitney - BLUE TEAM
If HE leads you to it, HE will see you through it.
