Hi Stina!
Welcome to Working Mom's AND The Blue Team!
I'm Whitney - and I'm 33 years old, I have a 7 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. I have about 80 lbs to lose.
I am going to send you an email = this is one that all the blue team members have. Last week was a slow one for the blue team, I just wasn't at all motivated but this week I'm pumped and ready to go.
Make sure you check your inbox to see what we're going to be doing.
If HE leads you to it, HE will see you through it.

Hi! I am new to this team!
My name is Christina. You all can call me Stina! I am 26 yrs old, I live in Iowa and I have a 5 yr old daughter, Alaina. I finished college in Aug 2012 and started working as a Paramedic in Sept. 2012. I have 140+ pounds to lose!
Can you explain everything I need to do? Thanks!
Excited to get to know you all!

I did so good yesterday UNTIL I got home. My husband was running late so it was up to me for dinner and we do a free for all once a week (basically you eat whatever you want). I was set to eat a bowl of cheerios but my daughter used all the milk (she spilled a bunch on the floor) for her cereal. So I had ... wait for it, wait for it.... Pizza Bites! UGGH I need to add them to my log but I don't want to, I dont' want to see the damage. I didn't do any "real" exercise, I did pick the house back up, chase Carter around the house - I did do some squats in the shower, but I'm not too sure how to calculate that.
Sorry your husband is going out of town :(
Looks like the Red Team wants to challenge us... are you all ready for the challenge?
If HE leads you to it, HE will see you through it.

I wasn't at the computer at all this weekend either... My phone is 2 years old and super slow so I can't have the spark people app on my phone to track but I think I did ok. Finally got back to tracking today... I need to go to the workout generator... Still haven't done that yet... I also just found out that my husband leaves tomorrow morning for Pompano (Miami) and will be gone the rest of the week :-/... Looks like I will be doing my working out after the kids go to bed...

It's Monday ladies! How are we all doing?
I couldn't get Sparkpeople to connect over my phone this weekend so I didn't get to track everything I ate. I did however get some exercise in, I cleaned the house TWICE yesterday (hurricane kids attacked) I stayed within my calories - though I didn't track them, I made decent choices.
Please remember to get a work out in, I'm going to print out exercises from my work out generator now and do some while at work (when no one is looking or when I can.)
Every little bit helps!!! If you fall, we'll catch you.
Check in and let us know how you're doing.
If HE leads you to it, HE will see you through it.

I wasn't sure where to post my initial weigh in & measurements, so I'll just post it here...
February 1st Week 1: 213.3
Measurements: Neck: 15.5 Waist: 46 Hips: 48.5 R Thigh: 22 L Thigh: 21.5 R Calf: 16.5 L Calf: 17 R Upper Arm: 15.5 L Upper Arm: 16
I want my calories to not exceed 1900 a day. SP says to only do about 1250 but I think that is too low. My ideal weight would be 170... Right now I'd do anything to even be 190. I've got a treadmill and workout DVD's and will use the workout generator as well... I will have a new profile pic up later as I will need to have one of my kids or husband take a before shot of me.
Good luck to us all!

Alright Ladies~
Today is the day. I was out due to illness pneumonia and bronchitis - I'm on the mend and ready to go.
I emailed each of you this weeks plan - feel free to pick a day to rest (exercise free) and go from there. Remember on this day of rest it's important that you stay within your calorie range..
Time to weigh in ladies.
If HE leads you to it, HE will see you through it.

I'm in. If I can track my calories & maintain my exercise schedule I could be at my goal weight by the end of this challenge. It's worth a try. I need support and accountability. I'm looking forward to it.

I think one thing to successfully get things underway is to determine, WHAT your goal is? Is it to be healthier (if so, what does healthier mean to you - weight loss, getting off any medicine you're one, the ability to walk up a flight of stairs without feeling like you've just run a marathon?) Whatever your goal is - my hope is that we can all pull together to help each of us achieve our individual goals AND motivate each other along the way.
My name is Whitney, I'm a mom to 2 kids - Hailey is 7 and my son Carter is 3. I didn't have a weight problem until I became an adult and since then, it's been a struggle for me constantly. I work A LOT of hours and most of those times (up until pretty recent) I was sitting behind a desk all day. Finding the time to work out (go to a gym) while off work sends me into a fit of guilt. I work all day, my kids are in daycare or school - the last thing I want to do is put them in childcare at a gym. Uggh, at this rate I'll never lose the weight.
So, for me - I bought some DVD's to help me exercise at home, where my kids are - where they can witness me actually do something to better myself.
I'm sure my list of goals is going to change as time goes on, but I wanted to say - you are not alone. I am extremely hopeful that the team we build (not only for the challenge) but in general will be a group that is motivating, uplifting and able to give each of us the support we need to keep going.
I've fallen enough to skin my knees - but I'm up, I'm ready to keep running.
