That's an awesome feeling. Sounds like you are headed in the right direction. My clothes are starting to fit a little different. Everything looks pretty baggy on me but I'm rather attached to my chunky clothes. :)
Last year when i got my tax money back i went shopping I purchased $500 worth of new clothes most a size smaller than I wore because I just knew I would be able to wear them. Needless to say I did not. I was cleaning my closet the other day and it was like I went shopping clothes with tags on them that fit. Actually I am wearing a pair of pants today that are a little to big and I just took the tags off of the them. It is a great feeling!
So when I went shopping on Friday I purchased a pair of 14 pants. They are a little tight but I can wear them. I would like to be able to wear all size 14's and some 12's. In jeans I am still wearing 16's.
Well I have been working out like crazy this week. I got on the scale to discover it did not move. I was thinking I was going to have a lbig oss this week because I am sore all over and I have worked out every day. So I took my measurements. I have lost 3/4 inch in the waist and hips. So I guess I can't be to down on myself. Down 3/4 inch in 3 weeks. I can live with an inch a month in each area. ha ha! Not sure how sizes run in inches but hoping an inch a month will get me into that 12 comfortibly.
When I logged in my inches this morning I discovered I had lost 5 inches in the hips in 6 months. I am still wearing the same clothes they are just really baggy. I do not want to buy anymore clothes until I am a 12/14 so I am going to have my 18 pants altered. It is cheaper than buying new clothes and I don't look like I am swimming in my clothes.

I am going to try to skip the buying new clothes part. I have a personal challenge going on. I am refusing to buy anything new until I can wear my old clothes. I have a walk in closet full of pre preg clothes. I am putting what I would normally spend on clothes in a savings account and I am going on a shopping spree once I am down to my old size. Of course I do not have anything special scheduled to require buying new clothes............yet :)

So I am going to take my measurements tonight but I will not post them I will just update you to let you know of my progress. I really want to be a 12 by spring. I want to look awesome on Easter Sunday in my new skinny dress.
Easter is April 24th, which means for those of us who have some school aged kids, spring break is the week before. I am planning on taking the kids on a mini vacation that week with the hubby and am really not looking forward to wearing my old clothes. So I was thinking we could start a Spring challenge to help us go a size or two down before having to pull out the old spring/summer clothes. I would love an excuse to buy new summer clothes.
What do you think? Should we do an inches challenge? I would love to be down to a 12 or even 14 by then. I am a 16 now.
