I fixed the link in the announcements so all you have to do is click "GO" once you open the page and it will let you register for the virtual race. I've suggested to Eliz that she do it as a 1K. I'm hoping we can get some more support for Judy in her Santa walk. I have a blue fleece pullover with a big lime green Grinch on it that says, "Mean One" and a red furry Santa hat with the Grinch in all his scowling glory. I'll be wearing that in lieu of the Santa suit. Check out the link and see if you want in. You can put in how far and walk/run and then when you finish just post your time!! It's all official like!! and I think you can even print out a little certificate if you are so inclined. I'll be doing mine very early as I have a busy day of volunteer work at the sr. center and then we're supposed to bet another big snowstorm mid-afternoon on Saturday. Join Judy!! and me...

Windy today....it is my opinion that a lake should not have white caps. lol. The windy days tend to be triggers for my migraines. Hoping that won't happen today

I walked!!! I had to go to the doctor's and was going to drive and I thought - - -WALK!!!
14 mins to arrive - stopped at park bench once.
then 12 minutes return trip without stopping ( but stopped without sitting twice to go up the hill in the park)
It was slow going and legs are weak, but I'm satisfied as I went 12 mins w/o stopping. That is ore than I have done before.

I can't walk outside much longer as the days are colder and more humid. I have to watch getting sick because it can set off a crisis with my autoimmune problem, but if weather does permit, I think I will walk as far as I can without worrying about the number of stops I need to make and then in the spring start with Week 1 again trying for the duration. i.e. 15 mins first week, 17 mins second week.

walked about 2.8 km today outside.
had trouble walking withut stopping though. was weaker in the legs. The most I walked without stopping was 7-8 mins.

Going to rain later.

Two big houses across a busy road from each other, on the corners of each house two magpies, four in total, pecking at the drainpipe on each corner.
Cawing of these magpies
Me quickly saying the rhyme
A small alpine growing out of a invisible crevice on a wall with a beautiful pink flower.
Children's voices from inside houses
Red and white rose petals all over pavement and a few steps further scattered tooth picks
No noise from traffic, Sunday morning.

The Lord is my light and my salvation. Who shall I fear?
