BBQ sauce is a bit high. I try and make my own with the no salt added ketchup. (Don't bother with Hunt's.. Heinz is great!) I guess I really can't answer your question though about the sauce getting through. Wonderful that you took the skin off and avoided the sauce there.

Good luck! I found that eating less sodium helped me lose weight and lower BP.

Okay - we bought plates from a local church for a fundraiser. BBQ chicken. Any notion on how much sodium still get's through to the meat? I ate 4.5 oz of chicken, threw away the skin, but now I'm concerned I blew my sodium for today. I know it was much less than with the skin on. And of course, I don't have to eat the leftovers, if taking the skin off is still bad. I'm looking for some experienced folks here to lend some advice.
