Seems like that would work with other soups that have lots of "stuff" in them. I love Campbell's bean and barley soup, but it's got waaaaaaay too much sodium in it. Maybe your trick would work with that one, too. And I have a feeling that after rinsing the soup stuff with water it might taste really good if you served it over some rice.
