Does it retain the flavor when you do this? Or do you just reseason it?

I can really tell when I do it, and I have even started doing it with

my canned Kidney Beans.

I retain enough water, I don't need any help from

salt, so the more I can take out of my food the

better for me.

Have a wonderful upcoming weekend.

Sounds like worth a try. I can tell when there's too much sodium in a food, I start to choke.

I'm sure it would work for just about any kind of soup and brand.

I'm going to try it over some brown rice, I bet that would be

great! Thanks..

Seems like that would work with other soups that have lots of "stuff" in them. I love Campbell's bean and barley soup, but it's got waaaaaaay too much sodium in it. emoticon Maybe your trick would work with that one, too. And I have a feeling that after rinsing the soup stuff with water it might taste really good if you served it over some rice.

There was much rejoicing!

That's a great idea but I think I would add homemade stock & a can of no salt added diced tomatoes. I'll have to try that trick!!

Hello Team!

I have found a great way to lower sodium in (most) canned

soups.

I LOVE Progresso Minestrone soup, but the sodium is so

high, so now I pour the contents into a colander and rinse

it off then put it in a soup bowl and add tap water! I don't

know how much sodium I get rid of, but I know its a lot.

I hope you all find this a great idea as well.
