Checking in early because I don't know how much longer I'm going to be awake.

Today started out with a puppy visit and spending about 2 hours cuddling 2 1/2 week old puppies, two of which are the ones I will be getting. Very hard to tear ourselves away from them, they are so adorable and sweet. Of course, while we were visiting puppies, our other 2 dogs were down in the water, having a grand time swimming and playing with the other dogs.

After our puppy visit, we then headed to St. Mary's River State Park and did a 7.5 mile (yes, that's what I said) hike around a huge lake (or river, not sure what it actually is). It took us 3 hours to do this hike and let me tell you... I've come to the realization that I'm way out of shape, even with all the walking I've been doing. With that said, I probably won't make it past 10 p.m. tonight. LOL I'm EXHAUSTED!!!

Step count as of 8:15 p.m. is 20,090. I know I will log a few more in before I go to bed but I don't think it will be a whole lot more. My legs are jello!!

Have a great evening everyone and an awesome week!!

Temps dropped here last week so we didn't get out at all for our walks. Rained on Tuesday, that turned into a snowy mix that evening. Not happy to see that at all. It didn't stick to the ground and was clear mostly after that but very windy and cold. Not a cold weather outdoor walker so not many steps at all. Add a migraine for 2 days after and you get nothing out of me.

We did get out yesterday (finally)! It was a much nicer day with the sun shining mostly through clouds but hey, I'll take it! Took the dogs to a new park with walking trails through the woods (I've got a theme going here lol) and then walked over to the Visitors Center (closed by that point). Saw several Osprey flying around and sitting in some trees so we got a couple of pictures. Need to remember to take my other camera with much better zoom capabilities next time.

Weekly step count starting yesterday:

Sat - 13091

Happy Easter emoticon

Weekly step-count check-in

Sun -10,757
Mon - 4,925
Tue - 12,055
Wed - 3,018

I don't really know what to say about Monday and Wednesday except they were travel days between Glenwood and Lincoln. I know I could have increased my steps, but I didn't. Making excuses here, it was Passover and did quite a bit of sitting in the car and at the Seder on Monday and quite a bit of sitting in the car on Wednesday.

Here's to doing better this coming week! The weather is beautiful, and I enjoy walking outdoors. Yesterday I both biked (few steps tracked from that) and walked!

Enjoying our last minute planned mini vac. Internet is awful. Thought I'd walk a lot but no can do. Lol. But no worries and get ready to be beaten during the week. For those on Fitbit thanks for the cheers and sorry I couldn't cheer back.
Lots of driving time to head back home. So get ready. : )

Turned out to be a cold, windy and rainy day for us so no walking for me. Just didn't want to chance a relapse. Got my laundry finished so at least I accomplished something. A very pathetic 3499 total steps for Tuesday. Tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 52 but sunny with no rain. I am puppy sitting the 2 week old puppies and do some bonding with the 2 puppies we are taking and walk my current 2 dogs in the late afternoon. Yes, I know. I must be crazy to get 2 more dogs but we have a big house with just me and my hubby since our kids are grown and out of the house. We can afford them, will love them dearly and they will keep me active. So instead of kids, we have animals to love.

I'm now off the prednisone and feeling better. Have been slowly getting my steps back up. Friday wasn't great but I did get 6383 steps. Saturday was a beautify day and we took the dogs to our favorite park for some swimming. Total steps for Saturday were 10,380. We went to DC yesterday with the dogs to see the cherry blossoms and I had 12,500 steps. Between vacuuming the house and taking the dogs for our walk, I have 12,558 steps.

Not sure how the next couple days will go because it's supposed to rain and the temps are dropping slightly. Will see how things go but don't need to get sick again. Hope everyone has a great week.

I did manage to get over 10,000 - mostly pacing around my apartment while talking on the phone. Internet was out, so had to improvise, and wanted to be home when DS came home from a friend's house.

Yeah...I don't care for rainy days unless I've got hot coco in my hand while watching the rain. You're about right Jen. It's getting easier to increase my steps. The best thing I noticed so far others who walk their dogs. Heads are turning. And they're thinking what's happened to Lovelypampa all of a sudden. Lolol.
I'm sure I'll get the opportunity to pet their cute dogs and chat at the same time. I usually talk to the dog before I speak to its owner on my walks. No, not every dog. Haha

Here's my steps for Sunday. 13,113 total. I know I could've easily done more but decided to just take it easy.
Let's see what Mon brings. emoticon

PAMPA, after the over 18,000 on Saturday, a mere 10,000 will seem relaxing. Here is my step count for the week:

Sun - 12,356
Mon - 11,529
Tue - 14,044
Wed - 13,200
Thur - 11,849
Fri - 11,363
Sat - 12,287

This morning it is wet outside, haven't stuck my head out the door to see if the water is falling from the sky, so it potentially could be a challenge to get in my 10,000 today.

Surprisingly found time in the late afternoon. So Saturday's steps.... you ready?

That's awesome, Jen! Ahhh...it's always relaxing and refreshing to take time off from work. Well, another great day for me. I'm not so sure about the weekend but I'm determined to continue with my steps.

Friday's steps 14,228 steps total

Everyone have an awesome weekend Team! But I'll still try to post my steps daily until I become consistent with my walking.

Yesterday toward the end of my work day, I realized that today will be the last day I am working until NEXT Thursday. I took Mon, Tue, Wed off for Passover, so I have a 5 day weekend coming! Looking forward to that, I will stay with my sister ONEKIDSMOM, but probably will not see much of her due to my activities and her work schedule.

Medicines may look alike but they all have different side effects. I'd change the medication if it doesn't work or gives too much side-effects. Docs are prone to giving popular medicines but not every patient are alike so I'd speak up.
I did great today (Thur). Finally. Lol Thursday's steps are 16,145 total. So watch out everyone. Here I come. Lol. You know what I mean. Haha.

My weigh-in went well. I'm down 3.2 lbs and reached my 10% goal. I'm hoping I'm done recycling the same 2 lbs.

I've always heard it as "so happy it's Thursday" but "sorry honey it's Thursday" works too.

Funny, the context in which I heard the acronym S.H.I.T. was Sorry Honey, It's Thursday in response to a T.G.I.F. greeting.

Thanks Pampa. I'm pretty much ready for this to move on. My new allergy meds have finally kicked in and they work great. I have 2 days left on the prednisone and then I switch to Claritin. If it makes me drowsy, I will just stick to the Nasonex. I want to be able to function. I just don't believe this is all allergies. I had to have gotten a cold on top of them. Especially with the coughing and the hard time breathing I've been having. It's gotten better, I can actually take a deep breath but not at 100% yet. Regardless, I am sick go sitting in the house or sleeping the days away. The dogs and I are getting outside today!

I also have my weigh-in/meeting at WW tonight. Didn't go last week but am going tonight. I think I'm going to have a pretty good weight loss number tonight. Will let you know how I do.

Remember it's S. H. I. T. (So happy it's Thursday) today so happy Thursday everyone.

So glad to hear you're feeling better Pampa. It's not fun being sick.

Jen, congrats on your Fitbit purchase! You will love it!!!

Well, I haven't walked since Wednesday and it's driving me crazy. I'm not much better yet but I'm on some new allergy medication now. Finally broke down and went to Urgent Care yesterday. Still can't believe this is allergies. Especially since if feels like someone is sitting on my chest and I can't draw in a deep breath without coughing. Still quite congested too. This has been a major pain in the butt. All I seem to want to do is sleep. Hope it will get better in the next few days because I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Hope everyone has a great week.

I am getting better. I think my hormones also got in the way too tho. Only because it felt like I kept getting out of breath without walking. And I am much fit these days too. So weird but glad it's almost over and I'm getting back to normal.
I haven't been on the road for over a walk and I miss visiting my friends/family. Especially mom dad. Lol.
So Fitbit finally. Very cool!! You'll love it!! Make sure you add plenty of our friends so you can challenge yourself more. I'm here for you and so is our team for any questions. It's really simple though. So excited for you!
Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and ready for the new week.

So, my pedometer died overnight last Sunday to Monday, and I went out on my lunch break to get a new battery. So, my totals for the week are:

Tuesday - 12537
Wednesday - 10183
Thursday - 13936
Friday - 13569
Saturday - 10147
Today - 11692

Oh, and I finally ordered a fitbit! Everyone I know who has one just loves it, so I decided I am worth it!

They didn't have any Matzo Ball Soup emoticons, so this vitamin C rich citrus will have to do.

Doc's orders for complete rest for couple of days. Plus medicine. And lots for dehydration. I think I'll stick with Pedialyte as water's helping but not making a difference. And adding to that this week's had weird sunny rainy weather. Yuck. Even being indoors my body can feel it.
I miss my Fitbit! emoticon
Can't wait until next week!

I am feeling pretty good, Pampa. I had a dr appt yesterday morning, so I barely made my 10,000 steps. I usually have my 10,000 by the end of the work day, but yesterday since I went in late, didn't get as many. DS needed to go get some new headphones, as his earbuds broke last night, so a short walk from the car to the store and then around in the store put me over 9,000, and I was able to pace the apartment for the last 1,000. It was rainy, so didn't really want to go outside for a walk.

Pampa, lightning is Cali isn't a good thing most go the time. As dry as it gets there, if it hits anything, it can be really bad. Enjoy your walking.

My allergies are driving me crazy today. Itchy throat and coughing constantly. Took a Zyrtec and it's helped a little. Almost didn't walk today but took the dogs anyway. 11,269 steps for today. Hope my allergies will calm down so my throat will stop itching. Gonna try to get some rest tonight but waiting to find out how many puppies are going to be born. My dogs mama is in labor right now. Can't wait to see all the babies!!

Have a good day tomorrow.

Hey Jennifer How are you doing besides your awesome steps? Let's hope your dizziness didn't come back. Interesting that the pharmacist suggested dehydration.
I felt lightheaded couple of weeks ago but only for few days on and off. My blood pressure was normal (112/74) (used to be 130s-140s/80s-85s before my walking days) but one thing I noticed was that my pulse rate was showing at 64 to 66. I'm used to seeing in the 70s. I didn't read into it too much because I didn't get any other symptoms after that. I have my own BP kit as the grocery or drug stores weren't that reliable.
I wonder if it's related to changes in the season. I'm very prone to when the season or weather changes. That's one thing I can't seam to control how it effects my body.
Although my dizziness didn't come back but I think I'll increase my water intake and hopefully it'll help to balance my body better. We can always drink more water. Lol

Shelly you're really dedicated these days. Awesome steps! When I used to have dogs, either my mom and dad walked the 2 dogs or I took turns. We didn't have a choice whether it rained or not. But now living in the city, it's gotten to be a luxury which is kind of not good cause we get lazy.
I caught a bug from either being in the rain or something I ate. I'm glad it happened during the rainy days tho. Yesterday and today brought so much rain and lightening. And we are definitely desperate for more water. If we get any lightening here in Cali, it's all over the news. Lol That's how spoiled we are with beautiful sunny weather. Expecting the rain to stop tomo afternoon and not expected to get anymore rain for a few days. So hopefully I can catch up on my steps.
Have a great week everyone! By the way, it's a new month and time to be accountable. Once again. Let's hope for a better month as we get closer to warmer temps.
Lots of hugs!!!!

Today was another very nice day. Dogs and I went to Myrtle Point and walked 5 miles. They enjoy swimming so much and I have fun throwing the ball out for them to get it then bring it back. My total steps for today are 15,229. Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer. Looking forward to spending the day outside with the dogs.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Spinning, I'm really not as dedicated as I should be. I've been sedentary almost the entire winter. I'm not as active as I should be when it's cold outside. I prefer to play outside when it's warm. Lol. Dehydration will definitely do that to you so make sure you drink plenty of water when doing any exercise. Get yourself a water bottle and holder for your bike. That way you'll always have water when riding. My hubby and I need to get our bikes serviced (tires checked and whatever else they do with them). We haven't ridden them in a couple of years. Time to dust them off and get back on them.

Sunday was not a good day activity wise. It was cold, windy and raining all day. Hubby was chasing a chill so I decided not to venture out. We odd meet up with friends for dinner and then went over to see her very pregnant dog. The vet counted 11 bodies on her x-ray. Last time she had puppies, the vet counted 7 and she had 10. There will be lots of puppies very soon. We can't wait to see which one we are going to choose. Gonna get a girl this time. I'm outnumbered at the moment. Lol

Monday was a good day. 5 mile walk with the dogs (we have 2 right now) and I logged 14,014 steps for the day. The days are getting nicer so I'm looking forward to getting out more. Hope everyone had a good weekend and has a great week..

Shelly and Pam, you are both more dedicated than I am, as I would not be out in the rain. Anyway, my step counts from the past couple of days are:

Friday - 11610
Saturday - 10834

Yesterday, I got the wheels back on my bike and went for a short (15 min) ride. When I got back, I was feeling dizzy and lightheaded. I thought maybe I had dropped my blood sugar, but took it and it was at an appropriate 114. Thought maybe it was my blood pressure, so went out to one of the local stores with a pharmacy and a "take your own B/P" machines. 106/65. Asked the pharmacist if she thought that could make me symtomatic, and she suggested dehydration. (that thought had crossed my mind as well) I didn't want to overreact, so I layed down for a bit. Well, by early evening, I had barely crossed 5,000 steps, and I just got a streak going, and I was feeling much better, so went for a 30 min walk and crossed my 10,000!

Awesome pics Pampa! I don't know what it is about empty boxes and cats. In our house, we call them cat traps. If there's an empty box on the floor, a cat will soon be in it. LOL I was serious about the ADHD dog. This dog is so smart he's stupid. He's always looking for ways to get around the things we won't let him do and that gets him in trouble. You'd think he'd learn but he's just like my daughter. Too stubborn! LOL

The wind doesn't help when it's raining. Makes staying dry realty hard. It's supposed to rain (70% chance, which means it will on the East Coast) today as well and it's only going to be 50 degrees. I have a warmer pair of pants to wear that should keep most of the rain from soaking in so we won't be letting that stops us from walking. I may have to wear a pair of thermal pants under them but am going to play that by ear. Then it's off to dinner with my friend who's dog is having the puppies.

Have a great Sunday!

That's real funny, Shelly. Especially about the ADHD. Lol. Actually I was dressed for luncheon and not for walking. I had been watching the weather by the hour cause of this crazy rains. I thought I was safe for a few hours but the rain came unexpectedly. I had my rain coat but the wind didn't help much. My pants and my shoes got drenched. So did my face. Haha. Lol.
I saw your park online. Very beautiful. I don't have anything like that nearby so I'd have to travel more than an hour's drive.

Speaking of cats, I have fun with photography too. I was helping mom cleaning and took an empty box out to be thrown away later. I barely turned around and saw the cat sniffing at it. Then took off and brought back one of its close friends. By the way that day was so warm beautiful. You can view the pics on our team here (so everyone can view it) to the right and below the Huddle by clicking on Photos.
Have an awesome weekend everyone emoticon

Hey Pampa!!! Hubby and I walked the dogs at one of our favorite walking spots. We went to Myrtle Point Park, which is a really nice wooded park that has several different kinds of trails to walk along. They have a trail called Deep Woods Trail, which given it's name, goes through the woods and runs along the Patuxent River in some areas. They also have wide, grassy trails, which are perfect for using the Chuck-It wands so our border collie mix can get some really good running in. It's one of the only ways to wear this dog out. We call him our ADHD dog. LOL Of course, our lab likes to chase the ball as well but he prefers sticks. It was about 65 degrees today and.... you can probably guess.... raining. We didn't let that stop us.By the time we finished our walk (3 miles), we were completely soaked but I logged 12,957 steps. Not sure what the weather will be like tomorrow but we will be walking.

I am certainly enjoying walking again. I missed it over the winter months. Like I said, I don't mind the cold weather but that doesn't mean I am willing to go out and walk in it. Especially when it snows.

In a few weeks, I have a friend who's dog will be having her puppies. This is the mama of my lab and it's the same papa too. We are very excited and can hardly wait to add a third puppy to our family. You might think we are crazy but we have a big house, over an acre of cleared land for the dogs to run and I'm home all day. We don't have children in the house anymore so we decided to fill our home with fur-babies. We have 4 indoor cats (they don't go outside) and in December 2012, we added 2 feral cats to our household. They needed to be relocated from where they were originally because the woman taking care of them passed away. We talked it over and decided to give them a permanent home on our property. We will never have to worry about mice as long as they are with us. We make them as comfortable as possible and treat them like we do our indoor cats. Like royalty. LOL They are a little skittish but hang around when we are feeding them. I've even managed to pet one of them on several occasions, although I do get a token hiss out of her. LOL

Enough of my rambling. I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. Pampa, get yourself some rain gear and don't let the rain stop you. If I can walk in the rain when it's only 65 degrees out, you can too!! Did I just send out a... wait for it... challenge??? LOL Enjoy your walking!!! Sunny days will see you getting tons of steps in!!

Hey Shelly Jen Holly emoticon
Hi everyone!
Rainy few days. It was finally clear yesterday but very gloomy. I'm not sure what kicked in yesterday but all I wanted was caffeine all day and not do anything. Lol. This morning I took advantage of the walk and did close to 5k and rain caught up with me. I had no idea I could walk that fast practically running to get inside the house. I gotta try it during sunny days. Bet I'll really burn those extra calories.

Afternoon everyone. Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.

The beginning of the week was not a very good one for walking and I didn't get very many steps in at all. Couldn't seem to motivate myself to get on my treadmill at all. I don't really like walking on it even with the tv on. Too boring for me. I prefer to be outside enjoying the fresh air but with it snowing and extremely windy/cold, there was no way I was going outside. It finally stopped raining (well, not a cold rain anyway) on Thursday but I only logged 5,893 steps. Not as good as I would have liked but I had my WW weigh-in. I'm down 2.6 lbs so I'm not going to complain at all.

Yesterday was a great start to my weekend though. It was a balmy 66 degrees even though it was cloudy. The rain didn't show up until late evening so we got to enjoy a 4 mile hike with the dogs. I logged 14,058 steps for yesterday. It is lightly raining today but we are just about to head out and do some walking with the dogs anyway. Fortunately, it's 65 degrees with the light rain falling so we aren't going to let the rain stop us. If it was 35 degrees and raining, I wouldn't be stepping outside. LOL

SpinningJW - great step count for the week!! Keep it up, you're doing great!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Keep up the great work everyone!!

Well, I just realized that I didn't get in here yesterday to update on my weekend totals. Hubby and I took the dogs for a walk at a park closer to our house. It's one we've been meaning to check out. It was a very nice trail through the woods that surround a nice little lake. It's a little over 2 miles around and has some light to lightly moderate hiking sections. After the walk we did on Saturday, Sunday's walk really kicked my butt. The weather wasn't as nice either. 20 degrees colder with no sun shining until it got below the clouds. Didn't warm things up any but the wind died down finally. Sure makes for a cold walk when you have a wind chill. I did get 12.568 steps in though so I'm quite happy.

Monday was a rest day for me. My feet were really hurting after all that walking this past weekend, so I decided to give them a break. Today (Tuesday) we're supposed to get rain/snow (UGH!!!) and it's only supposed to get as high as 41 degrees. It's going to be a treadmill day for me. I hate the treadmill. It's so boring but I've got some shows on my DVR that I need to catch up on so I'll be spending some time down in the basement. Wish me luck!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Have a great week everyone and keep on stepping!!

Pampa, it's great to be back. I've really missed getting my walks in. The dogs sure are happier too. They don't have to wait until Dad gets home to go outside and play, Mom just doesn't like playing in the snow. LOL The rain I can deal with. We walked in the rain on Wednesday (it's was in the low 60's here) but being in the woods on the trail the dogs love, we didn't get all that wet. Dogs loved romping through the mud puddles and got to go swimming too. Figured they were already wet, so why not. That's our usual Spring walking route. Don't walk that one in the summer time because the ticks and chiggers get really bad there. We have a trail near our house that used to be the old railroad tracks that they turned into a walking/biking trail. It's perfect for our Summer walks. If you go all the way from the park to the convenience store and back, it's about 10 miles total distance. We will be working our way up to that distance.

Today was an awesome day to be outside. It was about 70 degrees and the clouds actually went away so it turned out to be a beautiful day to be outside. We loaded the dogs into the car and drove to Virginia, just over the bridge and parked at a parking lot along the Mt. Vernon Trail. It's an 18 mile walk but we only walk a little over 8 miles of it. Definitely need to work my way up to 18 miles but I'm going to try for it. I logged in a total of 20,232 steps for today and it's now 10 p.m. so I doubt I'll be getting any more. Will be sleeping really good tonight. I'm proud of what I accomplished today.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day today. See you all tomorrow evening sometime!

So great to hear from you Shelly. Yeah weather has been unpredictable for every state including here. One day it's beautiful and next day cloudy. We'll be getting our rain again sometime on Tue Wed and sprinkles on Thu next week lasting on off for a few days. Again on the weekend too.
I've been going up the hilly road I found last year. It's quite steep so I was having a hard time last year and winter came. But it really gives me a great workout. It's short which is perfectly fine with me. I have to be careful as there are quite a few riders I have to watch out for. Lol. Only one side of the road has more room for hikers. I have to use my hiking shoes as it's fun but hard to come back down especially for my toes on concrete road. But my entire body especially my hips really get a good workout.
I've just started and enjoying it. With enough practice I'll be able to manage both going up the hill and back and come back home for regular walking.
I'm really glad to see you again. You'll soon be seeing me pass you. Lol. I think we're going hiking tomo but not hundred percent sure.
Have a wonderful weekend team!

Hi all! I've been MIA... yeah, I know.... again.. The weather has been really unpredictable here in Maryland. First it's cold, then we get Spring weather for a couple days and it's back to being cold. I've been getting out there and walking on those nice days though. Those are the days that I get my 10k steps or more in. I got over 10k steps in last weekend, then we had snow. UGH!! Wednesday, the weather was warmer (in the 60's) but rainy. Didn't let that stop me though. I grabbed the dogs, we headed out to our favorite park with a stop to pick up the hubby at work and we tromped through the woods, in the mud, for almost 2 hours. The dogs even got to swim. I mean, they're already wet from the rain, so why not! I managed to get 11,737 steps in. Not too bad.

I had my WW weigh-in/meeting yesterday so we didn't get out for our walk. Was a little too windy for me anyway. Don't mind it being cold but I don't like the wind. Makes it even colder and although it was in the high 50's/low 60's, that wind just made it seem colder. Today was a great day though. Cloudy most of the day but towards late afternoon, the sun popped out. The dogs and I grabbed the hubby again and we walked the local trail near our house. I logged 13.266 steps for today. Tomorrow is going to be even better! It's supposed to be cloudy but in the low 70's! Yeah!!! We are driving to Virginia (about an hour away) and walking a nice little trail we thought looked interesting. Will let you all know how well I do on my steps when we get home.

Needless to say, I am back. As long as the nice weather holds out, I plan on logging at least 10k steps in each day. Hey Lovely, we need to get back to our steps challenge one of these days!! LOL

Feels great to be back and I hope everyone is doing well. Let's get stepping!!

That is so awesome! Wow! You're doing great!
I've been so busy lately including tomorrow. But starting Wednesday for a few days, watch out as I've got lots of time for stepping. At least I'm going to try to make the time. So head up and don't be shocked. Lol. And here in Cali, our last rain was this morning. So lots of sun and lovely weather until mid next week. Not sure about the weather after that.
Hope everyone is doing great and finally starting to get back on track with everything.

I really feel for you Holly and Bren with her cardio workout shoveling the snow. It's slightly cold here but beautiful sunny. Almonds are blooming earlier as we've had warmer temps.

We're trying to plan our mini vacation soon and hubby requested someplace where it's snow. I had to smile because I thought about you.

We'll be getting more rain next week starting Wed again. Otherwise it's beautiful here in Cali

I was kind of stuck falling below the 10k but the walking challenge is really helping me to increase my steps.

Today is so relaxing and beautiful here in Cali. It rained all night but finally the sun came up close to noon. Hope everyone have un-winded by now from last week and next week will be better. The weather is improving and it's time for me to set new goals again. Lots of hugs!

Everywhere I look I see a lot of snow shoveling. I feel for you even though it's a great cardio workout. I mostly use the shovel but it's for dirt and those shovels are built differently than snow shovels. It's great shoulder and back and abdominal workout. Please stay warm and dry.

I wanted to combine both 6500 steps & 10k steps mini challenges together but no room on this forum. So I edited our cardio forum and added the mini challenges there if anyone want to team up.
It worked for me as Jojo accepted my challenge. Did 12,154 steps. But only 6,125 yesterday.
Today I have to be on the road so everyone have an awesome day.

I don't think bravery has anything to do with this, Renee. Lol. My secret...every time I decide to even come up with excuses, I get 'cheers' from fellow Fitbit members to get up and walk. If that doesn't work then I'll also get 'taunting' from some of those bold friends and that usually does it. Haha! Awesome for using the treadmill at 8pm. Way to go!

Well, I'm anxiously waiting for the sun to come up this morning as it's been raining cats-n-dogs here in Cali. I really really do not like gloomy days. It somehow affects my whole well being. I also get symptoms of body aches n pains. But this time it wasn't as much as I expected. Thank goodness.

I know my whining isn't anything close to other states. So please stay dry and warm and have an awesome day.

Lovelypampa - you're braver than I am! I make a million excuses not to walk outside in the rain. Maybe I'll melt? Had to jump on the treadmill at 8pm to get to 10k today; I really need to get up a little earlier in the morning and get it done! emoticon

Hi Team emoticon
We're getting lots of rain here. 24/7 since Friday afternoon. Lol. Cali is so happy but we're not clear from the drought yet. Of course I'm happy too except I dearly miss walking outdoors.

A dear good friend on Fitbit suggested I put on a jacket and still walk. Lol. I did. I put on a rain coat and stepped outside. Haha. I came back running home as it was so windy. And laughing at the same time. So I tried on some exercise videos online instead. I hear rain is finally coming to an end until tomorrow noonish. I'll be on the road tomorrow and hope to get a chance to walk some towards late afternoon. Definitely lots of catching up to do on Tuesday if anyone wants challenge again for another 10k with me. : )

Everyone is doing awesome! Great steps Holly and Renee (iwannagoat)!! emoticon

Thank YOU, Pampa...I had to pledge a number to reach each day for a week for my Biggest Loser team. I had pledged 12,000 a day, which I hadn't done since I'd been sick just before Christmas. Well I did it!! But now, we aren't doing that step challenge anymore, and I need to be accountable. I remember how we did the 15k challenge here (which I don't think I'm up for yet). Soooo, I am going to continue my 12K steps a day, but to keep me accountable, I'm going to post my day before number here in this thread.
This team is still my heart!!!!

Yeah, Bren!!! By the way, really proud of your steps and your siblings for encouraging each other.
I'm volunteering Holly. Lol Just kidding...it's not fair as we have great weather in Cali so please health comes first and stay warm and dry.

Please forgive me for not walking today. First the rain came. 2nd time this week. So happy as Cali is very thirsty for water. And using Super Bowl as an excuse. Should I say it's my resting day. He-he
