What made your past couple of days so hard and "BAD"? Are you trying to do everything all at once? Are you setting yourself up for failure by giving up all of your favorites or trying to fit YOUR LIFE into someone else's plan? Are you making this harder than you need to? Ask yourself what you might want to do to make things easier. Some small changes could be to simply swap a soda for a glass of water, or a piece of fruit for a brownie, or choosing a half of the brownie and skipping the second helping of potatoes. You might even ADD to your meals by planning a salad or a bowl of soup for about 20-30 minutes before your meal - you will fill up faster, eat less, and stay full longer. You might decide to take a walk, or play with the kids, or take a bike ride, play tennis, or golf. You can make this FIT YOUR LIFE if you take the time to look at things realistically and decide what you are REALLY TRULY GOING TO DO. For instance I KNEW I was not going to give up my "sweet treats" like doughnuts, brownies, or candy bars - so I found ways to fit them into my plan and MY LIFE. Now, I don't eat them so much, but I always have them available IN CASE I CHOOSE TO HAVE THEM. Only now, instead of regular size candy bars, I have mini candy bars and candy kisses, I buy doughnuts and freeze them and only thaw ONE at a time, I take half brownies, slivers of cake, etc. - AND most importantly, BECAUSE I CAN HAVE THEM, I almost never even want them any more. This doesn't work for everyone but it has worked WELL for me. Hang in there and you will succeed. Have fun and enjoy your journey.
With love and caring from Nancy ... wishing all of you a wonderful, blessed, and precious day.
