My mother in law had a pomegranate tree. I tried the fruit but found it too dry for my taste. I was much younger then and could eat anything without having a weight problem. I wonder if I would like them now as an adult? Our taste buds change, remember telling your mom how cauliflower would make you vomit? lol its one of my favorite veggies now.

I think I bought one about 40 years ago and tried to eat it, but didn't know what to do with it - this is great and very timely, since I'm eating fruit for dessert now rather than sweets & chocolate! Thank you! emoticon

Thanks DEBBIEANNE!
I haven't eaten a pomegranate for years, but when I did I always got the seeds out the hard way. That was amazing to see how easy it can be!

Thanks for the video, the trick was awesome. I definitely will us it when I need them for a recipe. I still like pick the seeds out because it keeps my hands busy and I don’t eat it too fast while watching TV. Sometime I will only eat half because of how long it takes to get the seeds out but I won’t want anything else to snack on for the rest of the night.

They are awesome. I grew up eating them but they are twice as big in the states. I’ve been buying them over the past month. They help a lot with my snacking issues in the evening. I usually peel off the skin and eat the seed – juicy sweet outside and nutty seed inside. Every single one I’ve purchased so far have been sweet. Make sure when you first pull it apart, you do it over a bowl or you’ll have seed all over.

They are in season now. Get them while you can. I've never tried one but am willing to now. Enjoy!
