I had a much better day. Still busy chasing kids...or babies today... and did not have time to sit and eat. Had dinner with a friend and had salad, ham, green beans...much better day. I had a few cuos of coffee and half a bagel with strawberry cream cheese for breakfast. That was one drawback to my low carb...but will do better tomorrow.

Drank my water, didn't really exercise, but I was cleaning house a lot so was up and around a lot. I did record my food today and plan to keep that up. I have to work at my church in the morning, so I am making my lunch to take with me. Hope you all can stick with it as well. Have a great day. In His Grip, Jude

OBOSAGE- make extra veggies or something else you can eat on the table. That way maybe you can eat it the next day if they don't eat them. There are always excuses to cook too much food. Better to little than to much. They can always snack later, you don't need the snacks.

CHLOIANNA,

I want to cook less. But I always wonder if I have enough food for everyone. Thier not on a diet. My husband is not a big, big eater. But then I hate if i not made enough for them to have a little more. If he ever wants to cut back his eating thats his choice. But I do want to have enough food on the table. I don't want them to get up saying thats all you made.

Obo, cook less food to avoid leftovers. I hate leftovers and since it's just me and hubby, I rarely have them. I just have learned to make less. He likes them, tho and will eat them if there are any.

Y'all are all so awesome. I have gained about 5 lbs back just the last 2 weeks. Thanksgiving was a breeze compared to the last 2 weeks or so. But I am getting back on track. I have a get-together at my mom's house tomorrow for light finger foods and games. New Years Day....new year...new slate. I wear a pedometer faithfully. The only time I take it off is when I step into the shower. But I have had it for quite some time and I think it is losing pace, so I bought another one at Target tonight. I will wera them both for a while to check them both out. I am also getting back on my treadmill. Even if I can only do 30 minutes dy. If it is nice, I will go WALK outside. That is my favorite thing to do. Just WALK!!!
This has been a setback for me, but I am still proud of what this past year has stood for. I have lost 50 lbs since last January. I still have another 50 to go. But I am closter to my goal than I am what I was. Even if it is halfway. I am healthier, feel better, have (a little) more energy, and am overall just happier tha I wa sa year ago. There are things I can do now that i could not do a year ago. So I am ending this year with a big rounding success!!!! Hope you all are as well.

I love left overs. Not only do they save time when you want a quick meal, but it also saves money. The problem is my husband grew up in a family that never ate left overs. I don't really understand it. Its not that they are rich or anything. I think the men of this family are just difficult and want a change everyday. I really don't know what it is. So even though I will eat the left overs thier is still waste and I hate that.

Sorry if it comes to my health or throwing food away, the food has to go. WE eat leftovers, we freeze left overs, when it has been too long in the refrigerator, it goes in the trash.

Good for you CHLOIANNA. That is amazing. What I would usually struggle with is throwing food away. Even when I realize that it cost $1 or $5. I always thought that that was a sin. That is how we were brought up. Now...I have to battle with myself to throw anything away. But good for you.

I plan to get back to posting and actually following my meal plan(revolutionary!!) emoticon I also plan to really work on my core issues--getting those emotions out instead of eating them down. The last few months of the year were really hard on my because of that and now it's almost like starting from scratch. Inch by inch, step by step.

I never usually do it. But I am going to make it my New Year resolution. I will start loosing again and I am going to try and get serious about exercising whitch is very hard for me. I have gained 9 pounds and have not updated my tracker as of yet. I am also going to try and keep all those goodies out of the house like I use to. I had the best, best, best pie at Christmas. Everyday I said I would eat it and I did. But now its gone plus all the chocolate.

I still have some strawberry rhubarb pie to get rid of. LOL I am doing better the last couple of days and today I did better than I have i a long while. I am the only one even trying or needing to really lose weight, so it is always a battle. BUT...I but the groceries so I have leverage. I will not but all teh junk or cook it. They will have to do that themselves. LOL I will walk more, get more rest, and just stay with my plan to get healthy.

I have had a bad couple of weeks. All of the holiday goodies were too tempting, my sleep schedule is out of whack and my running took a nose dive these last few days due to the pain from a tooth extraction on Friday :(

So, the cookies and goodies all got thrown away (my BF is not happy about this!), starting on Tuesday my sleep schedule should get back to "normal" and I am hoping to be running again by New Years Eve or Day. I am one week away from finishing my 10k program and I WILL DO IT!

Hopefully this will help me loose those 4 pounds that I put on emoticon

tracking my food-I had stopped and my excersise, watching my portions, and drinking my water. When I track my food and notice I'm under my cals I reward myself by eating more-bad move, but what to do?

I've already started to get back on track.I agree WHY WAIT TIL AFTER THE HOLIDAYS TO GET BACK ON TRACK?
I go back to work on Jan 7,so I decided to start watching what I eat,eat smaller portions & more fruit & veggies & drink more water. emoticon
I want to lose as many pounds I could before I go back to work.
I've lost 2 pounds already since Christmas. So I want to continue what I'm doing & start the New Year off on a good start.

December 26th..I let everyone in my home know that our slacking stage was thru and that I was throwing out any unheallthy foods left from the festivities. The kids went ..AWWWWW! Got new awesome walking shoes for Christmas and new exercise videos and equipment. Also dh got me a ton of meal replacement bars and healthy goodies for my stocking.
I have walked 3+ mi. everyday since I got them.

I did skip walking for almost a week during the holiday but I shopped and ran around all day everyday! I ate BADLY for 2-3 days. But this time I kinda figured it might happen and accepted it and went on. I also didnt keep packing it in like I used to would have done. I had some of all the "bad" foods but not a huge amount. So like some of the others here..I am back on track as of the 26th. Not doing any New Years parties etc.

I'm already on track. I decided not to wait until after New Years because that was an extra week of gaining weight instead of losing it. What I did was to start fresh on Wednesday. No more eating that way that I ate previous to that. Exercise everyday for at least 30 minutes and drink my water.

For me, I plan to start a Journal/Blog of what I have accomplished in the past 7 wks. that I've started this healthy lifestyle .. that is just before I fell off the week during CHRISTmas.. this will be a huge encouragement for me to jump back on the horse, as I've taken great strides!

Otherwise it's easy for me to fall into feeling a little discouraged for regaining over CHRISTmas.

I've been off track for quite a while, so it is baby steps for me right now. I've been focusing on sucking down the water and watching calories, exercising here and there when I can. Once the girls start back to school, it will be easier to have a more structured exercise program.
