Yes I make my own yoghurt and yes over time some liquid does separate out - you can just stir it back in if you want to.

Yes, I make yogurt once a week. The liquid is just whey. You can strain it in a cheesecloth lined strainer for a few hours to get a thicker Greek style yogurt. The whey can be used in smoothies or making your own sauerkraut, or just tossed.

Does anyone make their own yogurt for the diet? I have a yogurmet yogurt maker. I love the final product, but when I use it after the first time, a liquid forms on top of the yogurt. I just am not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if this happens for everyone. Any experience or advice is greatly appreciated!
