Going to the gym in a few minutes: cardio, strength training, and then a swim in the pool. Lovely! Yesterday had a 3 mile walk on the beach.

Went to the gym this morning and worked chest and triceps and walked 1.6 miles of hill intervals on the treadmill. Total workout was 67 minutes. Feeling great today!

I made sure I had my IPOD & earbuds with me, then at lunchtime I went and took a brisk walk through our warehouse for 15 minutes. It made a difference in my step count for today and is helping me reach my step goal. I like that I made the effort. emoticon

I started a 30-day challenge that I am going to start today considering I screwed up and missed yesterday recovering from all of the fun on NYE.

My challenge includes at least 30 minutes of cardio- a burpee a day challenge; squats, pushups and leg lifts.

So I got a new pedometer, by Basis. it turned out to be a bad match for me. t was too large and heavy for my delicate wrist. So, I called Amazon, and returned it. I went to Target and got a Fitbit Flex. It is light on my wrist, and working like a charm.

If something isn't right... have the courage to make it right. I could have tolerated that 1st monitor, but the truth is...it was hurting me, and that is not ok.

I got a new pedometer, and I love the challenge of building my steps. I have gotten so stuck on my couch, that aiming for 6000 steps has me hustling. It's a good incentive.

Wheeling around the house on my knee scooter trying to get things picked up and put away. Not exactly exercise, but with a broken ankle I'm kind of limited at the moment. This at least allows me to be up more often and moving.

We (my husband and I) finished up painting my bedroom, cleaned the fan, the blinds, the windows, the floor. Put up curtains, fresh bed sheets and a new bedding set to match my rooms new color. Then hung a few paintings.

Today, I showed 3 houses, then went shopping for a few hours, wrote an offer and got an accepted offer on another property. After I got home I did some housecleaning, washed a load of laundry, and made a pot of vegetable soup from scratch. I even got a 15 minute nap!

Planning on walking today--2+ miles (at least) at the Forestry. (I have a short, roughly measured route I use for those 'quick' 1-2 mile walks.)

Cold snowy weather is keeping me inside.
I set the timer for 10 minutes and walked around the house. I did this 3 different times to get in 30 minutes of walking. I did resistance band and free weights for 10 minutes.

Taking the stairs at work. I work on the 5th floor and I'll climb up to the 23rd and then come back down the stairs. There's only 30 floors in the building and I'm working towards climbing all of them ~ probably by next week.

cleaning house and gardening

I started out top weight 245 but that was when I actually got on a scale. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia almost 20 years ago. Over the years I've learned that I do so much better when I eat organic foods and I haven't eaten red meat in years I have been gradually working more raw foods, vegetables and fruit into my diet. I avoid drive through resturants like the plague.

I loved mowing the lawn with our push mower ... then dh wanted a riding mower - we argued - I lost ... do not understand why he wants it so bad when I'm the one that mows the yard anyhow.

Today I did my crossfit WOD and a 20 minute walk :)

I'm going to finish mowing the lawn. I did the front yard Saturday, but I didn't have enough energy to tackle the back. So I'm going to try to get to the back yard before it gets really out of hand.

I got a new push mower! It's the kind where *I'm* the motor. I absolutely LOVE the workout it provides. A neighbor happened by Saturday and commented ... "Man, that's a lot of work!" I smiled and said, "Yep! But I figure, if I go to the gym, I'm getting stronger but accomplishing nothing else. Here, I'm getting a workout AND doing something productive!" I didn't even bother to mention how much better this option was for the environment versus a gas mower...

All around, I'm happy with my new workout.
emoticon And if I have any energy after mowing, next up: weeding.

20 minutes at a VERY fast pace today with the dogs in the teeth of a howling wet gale and having to use both hands to hold the hood of my coat over my head. Don't tell me I don't care about my animals! Honour was satisfied I think
