Good Morning Everyone! Wow, I do it even when I'm writing. Acting like everything is peachy, that is. Actually, I'm starting to become a bit overwhelmed.
I'm part of this team for my daughter who has hypo-thyroidism. People have been so helpful, and I have learned alot. Those who live with something inevitably know more than "professionals".
MM has Turner's Syndrome and the thyroid issue is a symptom of that. She is at an age where her hormones could be having issues, and she is OBVIOUSLY developing problems due to the thyroid.
One problem would be enough, but two! It's hard to tell which symptom is from what sometimes.
I know that compared to many lifelong health issues these are mild. It's just hard to watch your child suffering. Parenthood has enough guilt with it without anything additional.
Does anybody on this team also have Turners Syndrome? I imagine I'll have to go back to actual Turners groups for help. I stopped when she was an infant, because they were negative.
I love Sparkpeople, because we try to be POSITIVE and HELPFUL!!! Thank you all for being there for each other. What a great team!
It would be so nice to be able to just sit and have coffee with someone who has dealt with this and understands.
