Showing Love to the Earth is not as hard as many seem to think we can all do it no matter where we live.
I live in a ground floor flat and lucky enough to have a small garden but I know many who do not have this luxury.
So if you live in an appartment and do not have a garden how can you help to heal the Earth?
Pot plants, grow your own herbs in pots, window boxes, house plants. Yes I know it is not the same as a garden but you can still grow all manner of plants and care for them. You are doing something that is showing your love for the Earth.
You may have a small yard that is mainly concrete and feel well what can I do?
There is always something that you can do, get some small tubs and fill them with plants, herbs and salad crops are great as you can use them.
Flowers will attract butterflies, bees and other insects that we need. Don't forget you can make small insect houses they are so easy to make and you will attract the much needed insects to your yard or garden. www.bbc.co.uk/breathingplaces/bug_home/
How is this Healing?
Caring for plants no matter how small a place you have is all part of healing the planet we love. If every person did this we would make a difference.
Don't forget your Parks you can still do things there as well, join a group if you have the time to spare and get involved with things.
Can't do that? then try joining in some of the activities they have like going on a guided walk and learn about the park and what it has to offer. www.peoplemakeparks.org/steps/care-for-the
National Parks are wonderful places and you can show your love for them in so many ways. www.environment.nsw.gov.au/edresources/Car
Meditation is wonderful out in the open, you can sit on the ground or a bench if getting down onto the ground is not possible for you. I can't sit on the ground my hip won't let me do this so I sit on a bench. You can sit there with your eyes closed for a few minutes and Meditate, no one will take any notice as they thing you are simply enjoying the peace and quite and relaxing. Meditate on the Park, garden, plant, tree whatever you want to and send out healing and love to the Earth. You can do this with a window open if you don't have a garden that way you are sending healing thoughts and energy out into the world.
So how about getting out there and connecting with the Earth lets see how many of us can do something like this. Tell us your experience and what you have done we would love to hear about it.
