I did order the pedometer and received it yesterday. So far so good. I used it last night while I was on the tredmill and was amazed how many steps in just a half hour workout.

Thanks to all for the suggestion.

I've owned several of the cheaper ones too. Some are not accurate at all and others get wacky after one little bump (drop it or bump it on something. I had one that gave me a good amount of steps for just riding in the car ;)

The last Omron I bought even hooks to my computer so I can see my history and progress.

I received my Omron pedometer from Amazon two weeks ago and I love this one. It doesn't add steps at the wrong time and the clock is first class. I am learning a lot about my habits right now--I'm basically wheelchair bound as I work in rehab to get my legs nad back strong enough to work. I have had several that were a few dollars cheaper, but I strongly recommend this one over any I have ever used. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

The Omron HJ-112 is the best. I've owned several (first one from Walgreens at about $35.... and now from Amazon for a lot less). It is very accurate and has a clip to keep it from falling off (which is what often damages the cheaper ones)

BTW... I've owned 'several' b/c I keep forgetting to take them off before washing clothes... and even jumped in a swimming pool once with it. -- not a good idea LOL ;-)

I have an Omron HJ-112. I bought mine thru CVS.com at the advice of a fellow Sparker, but they are available on Amazon.com for less money.(about $23) I bought mine last summer, my neighbor also got one and they work well. I had been thru many free ones that lasted a very short time. One even counted when i laughed! This on counts steps, distance and calories, and also does a separate work-out count if you walk for at least 10 minutes without stopping longer than 60 seconds. It has a security clip too. You can wear it on your belt or waistband, and they say in your pocket or purse. My neighbor did carry hers in her pocket and it worked.

I have bought many pedometers and have had little luck with them. They fall off easy, or just do not work well.
Can anyone tell me of a good brand, or a place you have bought one that works well???

Thanks
