How do I set it up so that my height and weight are in my signature?

My height and weight BTW are 5' 4" and 130lbs. I have a small frame so I really need to get 15lbs off of my body to feel healthy

Tammera I don't know your height and weight, but that sounds like that would be a good number for you. My calorie range is 1400-1750. Did you set up your info here on Sparks? They will tell you what your range is.

My numbers for today are:
Calorie range 1400-1750 Cals used 1674
Carbs range 163-236 Carbs used 291
Fat range 32-56 Fats used 33
Protein range 60-127 Proteins used 72.
As you can see I am still having problems with the carbs. I did get in 12 miles in 42 minutes on the exercise bike tonight!

I just started this today but I think a healthy caloric intake for me would be about 1400 a day. I run on the treadmill every day but I am trying to lose weight so I figure I can get away with eating that much.

What do you all think?

I am a new member of the team and I hope I can get in on this challenge.

My stats for today are

Calorie 1036 ( 1650-2000 )
Carbs 119 ( 214-309 )
Fat 31 ( 42 - 74 )
Protein 69 ( 60 - 166 )

Usualy I try to get more protein than anything else but after a bad couple of weeks of holiday eating I am trying to get back to better choices.




How will you know where you are going if you don't know where you have been ( keep tracking )

Not much action in this thread lately, eh? But this is a GREAT time of year to watch calories. Not. My intake was not so good today. I succumbed to cookie madness in the afternoon and evening. I jumped way out of my fat range due to the dreaded peanut butter squares. Awful. Awfully tasty! Tomorrow I'll do better!!!

Usually I do better emoticon However, two things made yesterday a rather high-Calorie day:

1. I made strawberry-yogurt smoothies for breakfast during the coming week, and had about 8 oz. left after I filled the pitcher. Couldn't let it go to waste, could I....

2. Fridays and Saturdays I usually drink a couple shots of bourbon. I did so yesterday. Let's face facts: bourbon is not a diet beverage.

Today, though, I should get into the 1,300 Calories range.

Yeah so, I'm feeling better now. I got in 27 more minutes of cardio, burning 238 more calories. So I completely made up for the 242 calories I went over my goal.

Another day of reporting over calories. Icky! But looking at it, it's really not so bad.

Horrible, very bad diet day today. I was doing SO well until I decided to visit my mom this evening. I had decided not to eat anything over there, but I ended up with Girl Scout cookies and two bowls of ice cream!!! Not good at all.

I know what you mean, Peggy! I'm always finding threads and thinking, "Hey, I was going to start posting here!" :) This thread is easy for me, though, since I've made it a nightly habit to calculate my calorie proportions because of it, and I've even started determining my estimated calorie deficits for each day. It keeps me motivated, and gives me the cue to stop eating for the night.

Holy cow, I actually made it within goal today, by the skin of my teeth. I am going to be up all night studying for a test (I procrastinated in the worst way), so I reflexively did a little stress binging. It looks like I kept it under control better than I thought though!

I went over calorie range today, but I'm more than ok with that. I get two days a week for that, and this is my first this week.

My numbers have stayed pretty consistent but my food choices are always that terrific. To be more specific, I've discovered Kettle Cooked Potato Chips - nobody can eat just one! I have found that now I'm craving the salty food again and even though my weight is hovering, I feel bloated. I must stop this foolishness now!

Jennifer: You're so close to your 10% goal! Yay!

I didn't track my food yesterday, but as portioning and making good choices has become habit, I'm not worried. I ate a raisinbran muffin (homemade) for breakfast, snacked on a banana and almonds, veggie pizza for lunch(again, homemade) and soup loaded with veggies for dinner. I'm positive I was at the low end of my range :)
