I love riding my motorcycle (Can Am Spyder) . . . but I do that pretty much year round, unless there's snow or ice.
What this time of year offers that I'm really enjoying is more time on the back porch and in the yard. . . .

Hanging out with family for a cookout. Nature walks/hikes.

The climate is very temperate here ............. Mild summers ........ Like walking on the beach when we go to the ocean ........ taking walks, hikes, being outdoors around waterfalls, going to a Japanese garden in Portland and usually have camera in hand.
I also love Fall because of the crisp air and the beautiful colors.

I like all year, but summer in the south is not my favorite - gets too hot! But, when the weather is not baking temp, I like to hike, walk, roller skate, swim, go boating, and yes - cut my grass. Cutting the grass is pure solitude, the only thing I can hear are my thoughts!

I used to love hiking, but I can't manage that anymore. Now, I love gardening and yard work for outside activity. I also just love sitting in dappled shade watching the birds and squirrels. What I like best of all is being out on balmy summer nights riding around with the car window open. It takes me back to being young and carefree in Southern California, and cruising around with the top down in my older brother's '64 Falcon with rock 'n' roll playing on the radio. By the way-- there's a 'super moon' predicted for this weekend. I plan to spend some time outside on the patio just gazing at it.

I love a good long walk outdoors. Swimming rocks!
Kayaking! I have already paddled over 100 miles this year. My brother and I go out whenever we can manage it. I also like taking long walks with the dog. Although when it gets hot I have to carry him. Good thing he is a little dog!
Just keep moving!
We don't need to wait for summer in southern California, so we walk every day, watch birds and wildlife, and when the heat is too much, we take in the cool breezes at the shore.

Gardening of course! Nature walks also.

This is the first year out in far too long that I spent a lot of time outdoors during winter - getting in my daily 5+ miles of walking. Now that it's summer, I can of course get in more :-)
Looking forward to tubing, biking, hiking, and my favorite summertime hobby: nature photography.
Today is the longest day of the year. What are some of your favorite outdoor summer activities?
I love hiking in the woods and walking trails. I also enjoy just working/playing in the yard.
