Water - lots of it - every day - without fail !!!!!

Our bodies are made up of 80% water so I understand, and its also the quickest way to detox and aid our bodies to lose weight together with a healthy diet and workouts of course!!

Make those goals reachable........ and make them short term - this will ensure you success - we all know that success breeds success - so just keep redoing smaller goals and each time you reach them, make some more.

Hey Mandy thanks for stopping by my page!

I havent been doing so well, I just wrote a blog about how my motivation has completely POOFED and I couldnt get myself to do what I have to do. I asked my friends for some advice/suggestions and they were all very helpful so I am starting to feel a little better!

I redid my goals, I am going to do food shopping this weekend to stock up on healthy food, and look through my workout dvds and start fresh on monday!

Activity is definitely the way to get those results, especially if they make you sweat! For example instead of climbing the stairs one at a time - do them two at a time - big difference!

My goal for April is to actually make changes that I can stick to, especially increasing activity- so that I can start losing weight! Ideally I'd like to be losing half a stone (7lbs) a month for the next 10months... But let's see!

I've managed 2 walks today, 1st = 30 min incl 20% hill incline in 7 mins (2 days ago it took 8 mins).
2nd = 45 min incl 15 min power walk.

My goals for September is simple (no number to look for on the scale). I need to think small, it's going to take baby steps to get to the finish line from here.

1) Strength Train at the gym minimum twice a week (once upper body once lower body)
2) Morning workouts Mon-Fri - it's only 15 minutes of circuit work, which is totally doable
3) Build longer leaner muscles
4) Get into stretching
5) Stick to that pesky half marathon training schedule.

My personal goals are to maintain my nurse recommended workout for pregnancy- she says 45 minutes of walking four days a week. She says I can do anything low impact.

One is a running series in Dewey Beach that they hold on various dates every summer. The second one benefits the Bethany Beach 4th of July parade which I would go to all the time as a kid. I'll be running them. It looks like it might be stormy sunday, but it's early enough in the AM I think it will be ok.

Holly, I've got rid of all my non-fitting clothes! I need my feel good factor to keep me motivated and going into clothes that don't fit is a real bummer! Its also a great excuse to buy something new as I need it - that way, its a win, win situation.

So I think I am pretty close to my goal! My 5K is next week and I ran 3.1 miles today as part of my training and I did it in 37 min. 44 sec.! I'd also like to get back into weight loss mode (instead of just training for my race) and get down to 145. I got out my summer shorts and capris yesterday and they're all too tight!

That's a great idea! I love that you're walking to your nearest beach.

My personal goal for this month is to run the 5K I am registered for on May 22 in under 42 minutes. I want to run the entire thing and I know I can because I ran the course today and while I had to go very slow at times, I did not walk. And I did it today in 42 min. so I want to get a better time the day of the race.

During May I'm going to do a virtual walk to my nearest beach! 97 miles away - and when I get there I'm going to have an ice cream!

Starting today...........

Sun 2 May = 10,300 steps = just over 5 miles
