1. Plan my meals and log them in the nutrition planner at the beginning of the week. That way I'll have my shopping list and I can plan on quick but good-for-me foods.

2. I'm going to allow myself to vent about stresses one time, if need be, and then let it go. Dwelling on them only makes me angry and resentful and I eat chocolate. I don't mind eating chocolate in moderation but happy chocolate tastes much better than stress chocolate.

My goal is to stay honest with myself. It is so easy to get caught up with justifying to ones self why something is alright, when deep down inside we are just lying to our self.

I wanted to also comment on the one who was talking about de-cluttering your home. It definitely is a weight off your shoulders when you do, and it gives you such a free feeling. You become more productive when you have a de-cluttered home. You can be more creative. And you don't have to spend money to do so.

When I de-cluttered, I had three piles, Keep, Give Away, and Throw Away. I found creative solutions on how to store things with containers I already had. And if I didn't have something, I made it.

Then the trick is to pick up after yourself all day long so things will not start to pile up again. It really does work, and it makes you feel wonderful. It clears the way to be able to lose that weight or extra inches you need to lose.

clean, organize and throw away. sometimes disorganization in out homesw also gets in our minds so we have trouble focusing or simply feel weighed down. so i am trying to use up, donate or throw away what i no longer need.

clean out the physical stuff can help balance the mental stuff.

My main focus is just to stay active. Weight loss is a plus. I exercise for my mood and mental state. Don't get me wrong, I love losing lbs and inches, I just try not to put a lot of emphasize on it.

One of my goals is to not complain. if i am frustrated i may vent for a moment to destress, but then think about howto deal with the issue constructivly. i caught myself complaing and dwelling on the issue and not completing any tasks. When i finally shook it off i was able to get several things done. A positive attitude made all the difference.

I am learning to listen to myself more - that is my goal. Deep down inside - I know what I need - when I need it - and how I need it. The biggest pitfall I have is letting what other people say influence me. I also allow my head to over-think things and then I don't listen to myself as well.

Nobody knows me better than me!

Sorry I posted a new topic instead of replying. I am getting use to message boards. As I mentioned I am hoping to have a consistent lifestyle change instead of a few good days and one bad day and then I don't loose.

My focus is to take the best care of me that I possibly can...for years, I felt as if I didn't spend every moment of my day taking care of others, I was being selfish...welll...after 57 years...it's time to take care of me! and...it's not a selfish act.;..if I don't take care of myself and my needs, then, I cannot take care of others...
I going to be more positive
I going to be more appreciative
I going to learn to relax (what's that mean?)

Fall seven times...get up eight.

Be still and know I am God

I need to drop about 45 lbs that I gained while being a caretaker...Since I am having a very hard time I decided this month to break it down. This month - May - I want to drop about 5 - 8 lbs.

I can focus on getting past a smaller amount, hopefully, and then move on to doing the same thing next month instead of being frazzled by thinking I have to drop all of the 45 lbs right away, which I tend to do :)...Baby steps...lol...
